Part 11

*AT THE HOSPITAL AFTER SCHOOL TUESDAY*

I walked into his room to see loads of nurses and doctors surrounding him. My heart fell. I didn't know what was going on. Was he awake? Was he dying? Did his heart stop? I needed him. I couldn't let him die. I walked in and asked one of the nurses what was going on. "Miss, what's happening?" I asked trying to remain strong. "We think he's waking up, but his heart is slowly stopping. We're trying our best" she said some tears forming in her eyes. My heart skipped a few beats. I saw him laying there. I saw the doctors using the defibrillator (the paddle things to make a persons heart beat again). I couldn't hold it in anymore. I silently sobbed. "We have a heart beat!" one of the doctors yells. Then his eyes opened.

"Marcus!" I exclaimed wrapping my arms around him. "Hi. I have one question?" Marcus says. I nod. "Who are you?" he asks. Well there goes my heart and hope. "W-What" I asked. One of the doctors pulled me aside. "When his heart stopped we think it gave him temporary amnesia. He should remember you in about a day. He's strong, he'll probably remember sooner though. We thought he would be in a coma for 6 to 7 months but it was only 1 month. You have a keeper" he informed me. I nodded. "I sat back down next to Marcus. "You're really cute" Marcus said smiling. God I missed that smile. "So are you Marky" I smiled. "Are we dating because I feel really weird, like I'm in love. I feel like I missed you but I just don't remember" he sighed.  "Just your luck, we are dating. 2 weeks once we started dating you went into surgery then in a coma, you should remember me soon" I explained. "A coma? Wow. Well I think your name is..... Emily?" he asked. "Close" I said. "Hm, Emma?" he asked again. "Yep! And you are?" I said trying to get him to remember. "Marcus?" he questioned. "Yep" I said. "Wait, some things are coming back to me! I remember you told me Dan was a jerk to you and you missed me!" he exclaimed. "Yeah! Do you remember who Dan is?" I asked. "He is a total idiot that bullies you. I remember wanting to kill him. I don't know why but as soon as you said "Dan" I tensed up" he said. "You got it" I said back. "I think I remember everything" he said. "Do you remember our favorite show?" I asked. "Supernatural!" he exclaimed. "Sam and Dean......" "Winchester! And you're Emma Alexis Jacobson. And I'm Marcus Lloyd Butler" he said. "Looks like you've remembered everything" I exclaim. "I love you. Thank you for helping me Emma. I hope I'm still your cute ninja" he says with a wink. "Always" I say back. "Marcus, you'll be able to go home in a week. We just want to keep an eye on you" the doctor says.  Marcus nods. I look over at Marcus and smile. "I love you" he said smiling. "I love you too baby" I said back. I was so happy, I could barley breathe.

Then his mum and dad walked in to check on him. "They're my parents right?" Marcus whispered. I nodded with a smile. He then smiled back and said "Hi mum and dad." "You're awake!!" they exclaimed in unison. "Yep, Em care to explain everything?" Marcus asks me. "Well, he woke up with slight amnesia. He was supposed to remember in about a day or so. But he's smart and strong so he started to remember" I explained to Mr and Mrs.Butler. "Oh, well at least you remember" Mr.Butler said happily. His wife nodded in agreement. "I'll give you and Emma some time alone. See you later Marky" His mum said giving us a hug. Then they went out of the room. "Come here" Marcus whined. I leaned over to him. "Close enough" I laughed. "Mhm" he said then kissed me. I missed that so much. "Thank you" he said with a small sigh. "For what?" I asked smiling at him. "Helping me remember and making me happy again" he said. "You were depressed?" I asked. "Yeah, I cut to. That's why I wanted you to stop. I was happy when I met you because you seemed amazing and you just made me happy" he explained. "Aw. Thank you, but I'm so sorry you were sad" I said trying to blink back tears, Knowing Marcus was ever unhappy made me really upset, I couldn't bear to see him not smiling. "It's okay and no problem" he said back. "Did you cut while I was asleep?" he asked. "Only once on my leg" I sighed. "Oh... deep?" he asked. "Not really" I replied with a smile. He nodded and kissed my cheek. Then it was about 9 and I had to go back home. "Bye baby girl" he said hugging me. "Bye ninja" I smiled hugging him back.
