Accidental Love

Chapter 1

Charlottes P.O.V

I was just exiting my last class for the day. Chemistry. Worst class ever, but I'm still considered "good" at it. I walked to my locker and packed all my books and homework into it. As i finished, I decided to go look for my best friend Liam.

I walked to his locker. He wasn't there. I looked in the library. He wasn't there either. 

But then I just remembered that he told me that he was meeting his girlfriend Cody at the back of the school today because she had to tell him something important.

So after saying goodbye to some of my friends, I decided to go get Liam.

As I was just about to turn the corner, I heard something that I wish I didn't.

"No please Cody. I wanna stay with you and only you. Please don't do this to me." I heard Liam say with his voice sounding full of hurt.

"I'm sorry Liam. But I have to let you go before I fall to hard for you. I'm so sorry." Cody said crying. She quickly kissed his cheek and walked away.

I did not see that coming. I wouldn't have guessed they would even consider breaking up in a million years. And I would know that because I was around them a lot. 

The way they laughed together. They way the looked at each other. The way they kissed made me think that Liam and Cody were meant for each other. But I was obviously wrong.

It was so hard to see Liam this way. He sat on a bench crying, sobbing. He was heart broken. And listening to him cry made my heart shatter into pieces inside. So I just couldn't take it anymore.

I came out of the corner I was hiding behind and sat down next to him.

"Hey buddy." I said rubbing his back. "You ok?"

He just shook his head no. I wasn't able to see his face because it was buried in his hands.

"Char." he said, his voice cracking a bit. " I think I love her. And I was debating on if I was going to tell her today."

"Come here." I said opening my arms so I could hug him. His heard rested on my chest while I put my arm around him resting my head on his.

"Li, you're a great guy. Your so sweet, caring, thoughtful, smart, handsome, and so many other things. You know how to make every girl smile and feel good about herself. And I honestly think that Cody made a huge mistake breaking up with you like that. Any girl would be so lucky to have you as a boyfriend Liam." I said smiling.

He finally looked at me and my heart broke again. His eyes were red and a bit puffy, and I can see hurt in his eyes.

"Thanks Char. I can always count on you to make me feel better." he said smiling.

"Hey, what are best friends for." I said returning the smile.

"Ok, I know I sound really lame right now. But Charlotte I want her back real bad. She was the best relationship I've had in years and I don't want someone like her just to fade out of my life." Liam said, almost crying again.

I didn't know what to do about this? I mean I can help him feel better but I don't have any ideas on how to convince her to go back to Liam. Until it him me.

"Liam, is Cody the jealous type?" I asked standing up now.

"Yeah. Very jealous. If I was just talking to another girl in the hallways and she saw. She would be asking me all these questions about her and If I like her, which bothered me a bit." He said.

"Perfect." I said smiling.

Liam stood up and now he's in front of me. "What do you mean perfect?"

"Liam don't you get it? I'm going to try to be your 'fake' girlfriend. Whenever she's around, we'll do couple stuff and all that and see If It gets her jealous, because I have a feeling she still likes you. I'll only go through with the plan If you're ok with it." I said with my hands on my hips.

Liam was in deep thought for a moment before speaking. "Ok, lets do it."

"Ok cool. Now lets go home." I said picking up my bag.

This wasn't going to be awkward right? I mean being your best friend's fake girlfriend isn't really a big deal right?

Well I guess we'll just see how this goes and find out.
