Liam's POV

I know she was in a state where she was completely oblivious as to what was happening at the moment, but I couldn't help but believe what Charlotte said. She's right, I am an asshole.

Why do I always have to screw everything up? Seems like whenever I gain something important, I loose something important. I've been dating Cody ever since the first year of school, she was my first girlfriend and I thought we were going to be together till the end of high school. I do have her back, but now I'm having second thoughts, and I hate myself for even considering that thought.

But then there's Charlotte, the girl I've known for as long as I can remember. She was there through it all, from my parents fighting to me getting bullied. She was my rock throughout high school and has done so much for over these past few years. And you know what's so fucked up about this? I repay her by kissing her and then saying I'm in love with another girl. That's screwed up.

So yes, I am an asshole.

Charlotte's POV

When I woke up, my head felt like it was going to fall off and that there's was a hammer inside continuously banging up against my head. I felt like complete absolute crap. I'm never drinking again.

I took in my surroundings and found that I was in my bedroom, which means that my mom is home! Shit, I'm probably going to get in trouble for drinking by my mom.

I quickly got out of bed and made my way over to my bathroom. I internally gagged at my own reflection. By makeup was smeared, my hair looked like a fucking car ran over it, and I had huge bags under my eyes.

I quickly washed my face with soap, putting some concealer over the bags under my eyes, I put my hair up in a bun and changed out of my clothes which smelled like a mix of cigarettes and shit.

When I went downstairs I found a note on the counter,

Morning my sweet:)

Went to go job searching for the day, I made breakfast for you! It's in the fridge. Which me luck.

Oh and I put some Advil and water out for you by the sink. Don't drink again or else I'm gonna beat your ass ;)

-Mom.

I laughed out loud at her choice of words, she probably meant them too, and she doesn't have to worry because I'm not drinking. Ever.

I walked over to the sink and took the pill. God I hate pills. Then I decided to eat breakfast which consist of fruit and pancakes which was actually really good.

I was really proud of my mom, she was really putting a huge effort as to trying to be a better mom and was doing a great job. Speaking of jobs, I need to search for one soon.

I decided to call Madison, considering she did say she was going to help me.

"What?" She answered sternly. Oh god, she's in a bad mood.

"Well good morning sunshine.."

She groaned, "Yeah, good morning. What's up?"

I sighed, "My mom went job searching today, and I was wondering if you wanted to today also."

"Do you seriously think it's a good idea to go job searching when we look like fucking drunks after we drank last night, plus we have massive headaches." She explained, which she was right about.

"I know Madison, just bare with me here. She's putting an effort into this, so I should too. Please just-we'll be fast." I begged.

"I'll be there in an hour." She spoke, before hanging up.
