Accidental Love

Chapter 6

Charlottes POV

After dancing for a while and having the most awesomest time, I decided to go look for Liam. He said he would be getting something to eat real quick and would be back but It's been over 10 minutes.

I walked over to the food table and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Liam and Cody were practically snogging each other's faces off.

As I watched, I felt a so much jealousy inside my body. I don't know why but I just did, and plus I was at the verge of crying, but I wasn't going to. That would just make him think that I like him. Which I don't. Right?

I couldn't watch anymore.

"Liam?" I barely spoke out. He broke out of the kiss and turned to look at me. His eyes went wide in shock.

"Charlotte." He whispered.

"Charlotte, I-" He started but I put my hand up signaling that he didn't have to speak.

"No Liam. It's ok. I already knew you guys still loved each other and you kissing doesn't surprise me. So It's ok. You don't have to apologize." I smiled, but It wasn't real.

Liam's face looked hurt. He got Cody back after a day they broke up so, why isn't he happy? Yeah It kinda kills me to see them together sometimes but I'm happy for them. Why isn't he?

"Ok, well I'm pretty tired. I'm gonna go head home. Thanks for the party Cody, It was a lot of fun. I'll see you tomorrow Li." I smiled. And with that I walked away.

I don't really care If I have to walk home right now, besides I want to. I want to think and be alone.

I don't know what I was feeling right now. I mean what woud I expect? Him and Cody had such a strong relationship before, so It doens't really surprise me that this happened. But It was so sudden.

I don't even know why I was sad. Liam wasn't even my real boyfriend, so why be mad?

He deserves to be happy. Any girl would be lucky enough to be his girlfriend. He's just so sweet, caring, and protective over you. He's just...great.

It was then that I realized I was already at the front of my driveway. I walked up to the front door, took out my key and unlocked it. I heard a click signaling me that It was unlocked.

As I walked in, the house was quiet and dark. My parents were probably sleeping at the moment.

I ran up to my room and shut the door. I took off my clothes and put on a black tank top and grey sweats then put my hair up into a messy bun.

I then took out my contacts and put on my black glasses that looked nerdy. Which I liked.

I felt so cozy In my pajamas! Just a little fact about me. I don't dress to impress. I feel like when girls do that, they just want to impress the guys and make them think that they're hot. I just don't think that shows who you really are inside. I like showing who I really am and I don't really care what people think about me. I'm a very care free person.

I quickly grabbed my laptop and sat on my bed scrolling through twitter. I had about 500 followers, there all people from school. Half of them I don't know.

As I was on twitter, I heard a tapping noise from my bedroom window.

"What the hell?" I mumbled to myself.

I got up from my bed and headed towards the window and opened the curtains.

And there sat Liam, sitting on a tree branch.

You see, my room has this very large tree next to it and Liam and I always climb it. It's also a way for Liam to come see me, he climbs the tree.

I sighed and opened the window.

"Hey Li." I said with a smile, but he didn't return it.

"Char, what happened back there, are you ok?" He asked.

I climbed out of my bedroom onto the tree and sat next to Liam.

"Yeah of course I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked shrugging my shoulders

"Well, I thought that I hurt your feelings back there when I kissed Cody. You looked kinda hurt to me and I wanted to make sure you were ok." He said looking my in the eyes, and let me just say, he had beautiful eyes.

I bit my bottom lip, "I'm ok Li. And I was only acting to make it look like you cheated on me. I wasn't hurt at all, I couldn't be happier for you and Cody. You got what you wanted so, congrats." I said shrugging then smiling.

Liam sighed, "Char, Cody and I aren't back together, I was talking to her while you were dancing and her and I both admitted that we missed what we used to do together, like kiss and hug. So we just decided to do it, you know? For old times sake. But however, after you left she did admit that she still had feelings for me." He said as a smile crept upon his face.

"That's great Li." I said nudging him with my elbow.

"So, since I broke up with you right in front of her, do we still fake go out?" I asked him.

"Yeah I guess so. She seems to be falling for me again, so I think the plan is going great." He said smiling and looking at me.

I looked back into his eyes and smiled, " Me too."

Liam and I looked into each others eyes for a while. And soon we were both leaning in.

Our lips were a centimeter away from each other.

Just as we were about to kiss, a car honked really loud making both of us jump breaking out of the kiss we almost shared.

I swear I was blushing furiously and so was he.

"Um, It's getting late, I should go." He spoke up.

"Okay, I'll walk with you to your car." I said.

We both climbed down from the tree and walked to Liam's car. Before he got in, he came back to give me a hug, which surprised me at first, but I soon hugged him back.

"Char, thank you for everything you're doing for me. I want you to know how amazing you are. You're really helping me through this break up and I couldn't have asked for a better friend to be here for me. Thank you so much, I owe you, big time." He said letting go from the hug.

I chuckled, "Li, how many times do I have to tell you that it's really no big deal. You've done so much for me, so this is the least I can do for you. And plus, you're my best friend and you've been there since the beginning. So what was I supposed to do? Watch you being miserable and not helping you, I could never do that. So stop thanking me." I finished.

"You just made me, ten times happier than before." He said touching my nose.

"Okay, I gotta go Char. See you tomorrow." He said kissing my cheek before going off into his car. I watched as he drove away.

I walked back into my backyard climbing the tree to get back into my room.

I felt myself smiling as I layed down on my bed.

Liam made me feel like butterflies went off in my stomach.

Something about him made me feel, more attention towards him than before. Of course when I first met him I thought that he was absolutely adorable, which I still do by the way. But now, I feel like my mind is starting to develop feelings for him. But the hard things that, my heart won't admit that I do.
