Accidental Love

Chapter 3

Charlottes POV

After having that little chat with Liam, I quickly walked / ran to my locker not wanting another detention. I had only 30 seconds to get to my class and luckily I made it.

As I walked in I saw that my other best friend Madison was holding a seat for me.

Madison was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. She had long blonde curly hair and very pretty blue eyes. She caught the attention of every guy in school by her looks, but she refuses to go out with any of them because they only like her for her beauty.

I smiled at Madison before walking to where she was sitting.

"Hey." I said smiling.

"Hey love, what's up?" she asked returning a smile.

"Nothing much." I said shrugging.

"Ok, anything important happen or anything I should know about?" she asked looking at me with a stern face on.

I was quite confused by her question, "Um..no." I said.

"Ok, so you and Liam going out isn't anything important? " she said with an evil smirk.

"Well-I-um-I.." I was about to finish but the bell rang and class was starting.

"Well we have to stop talking, teachers here." I said full of relief.

"Mmhmm, well were not done here." Madison said.

I just chuckled. But what if the bell didn't ring. I wouldn't know what to tell her. Would I tell her that me and Liam's relationship is fake? Or would I just lie? I wouldn't know. Before I tell her anything I'm going to talk to Liam first.

After class I quickly packed all my things and literally ran out of class trying to avoid Madison. I'll just talk to her after I talk to Liam.

I walked to Liam's locker and found him putting books into it. I smiled to myself at the sight of him. And I'm not going to deny saying that because he makes me smile every time I see him.

I walked over to him and stood by him.

"Hey Li." I said smiling.

"Hey there girlfriend." he said returning the smile and I just blushed a bit and chuckled.

"Hey, you know my friend Madison? Well she knows that were 'dating' and stuff and since she's my best friend would It be ok If I tell her that we really aren't?" I asked.

"Yeah sure. I trust her. Just tell her not to tell anybody." he said.

"Okay thanks Li!" I said hugging him. And while we were hugging Cody walked by. She looked really upset and she kinda gave me this mean glare. But oh well. I guess that's what you get when somebody is dating your ex boyfriend. Right?

As soon as I realized we were still hugging I pulled away still smiling.

"Ok, well I'll see you later." I said walking away, but then Liam grabbed my arm and turned me around so that I was facing him.

He chuckled, "Char, we have class with each other this period."

I chuckled, "Yeah I knew that."

 "Sure you did."

We chatted a bit more before walking into class. And then I just remember that Cody is in this class too. I don't know If It's going to be awkward considering Cody and Liam always used to sit together and do cute couple stuff in this class. Which made me uncomfortable at times.

I think Liam was thinking the same thing I was because he was just starring into space, looking like he was in deep thought.

"Hey Li, you ok? I asked putting a hand on his shoulder.

He nodded, "Yeah, I'm alright. Just thinking that's all." He said shrugging. 

We entered the classroom and I looked over at Liam. He instantly spotted Cody sitting with her group of friends smiling and laughing. But when she saw Liam and I, her smile quickly faded and Liam looked away.

We took a seat in the way back and waited for class to start. It wasn't starting for another 5 minutes so we had some time to spare.

 Liam and I were in the middle of a conversation until Cody walked up to us.

Liams POV

 "Hey guys. Sorry If I'm interrupting anything. But um, Liam can I talk to you for a second?" Cody asked.

My heart started beating really fast and I started to get a bit nervous. 

"Um. S-sure. I'll be right back Charlotte. " I smiled getting up from my seat. Cody lead me out of the classroom and we stood outside the door.

"Um, so." she spoke. "I've noticed that you and Charlotte have gotten a lot more closer. I know it's not any of my business but are you guys dating?" she asked. I looked her in the eye and I saw guilt in it.

"Uh, y-yeah. We are. " I stuttered.

"Oh. That's really cool Liam. Charlotte Is a sweet girl and I'm happy for you." She said forcing a smile. I just said a simple thank you to her In return.

"Oh and, I've also noticed that were not really talking anymore. I mean I don't understand why things have to be awkward. We can still be good friends and have normal conversations right?" she asked.

"Yeah of course we can." I said smiling.

The bell rang which meant we had to go back in class. I was about to walk through the door, but she grabbed me by the arm.

" Wait Liam." I turned around so I was now facing her. 

"Yesterday, after we broke up, I was so emotional that I didn't have the guts to tell you thank you." 

"Thank me for what?" I asked.

"For being so nice to me when we were dating. You made me feel safe, beautiful, and very happy. You said and gave me such nice things and you were there for me no matter what. So thank you for being a great boyfriend." she said quickly touching my nose with her finger.

I chuckled, "It was no problem. You were special to me and I wanted you to know that." she blushed at my response and we walked in.

I walked back to my seat and found Charlotte laughing at something her friend has said. When she smiled she made me smile which was one of my favorite things about her.

The teacher walked in which meant we had to be quiet now.

"Hey," Charlotte whispered, "Everything ok?"

I nodded my head. She smiled and went back to doing her work.

But I was lying.

I miss her. I miss Cody.

Everything was terrible at the moment.
