Accidental Love

Chapter 15

Charlottes POV

I couldn't help but laugh as Liam chased me around the playground,

And today, I think I just realized something...

I can't keep telling myself that I'm not falling for him, because it's not true. I think I am falling for Liam. I mean who wouldn't. He has everything a girl would look for in a guy, which is why Cody is an idiot for breaking up with him.

I was standing behind a very big slide now, I was looking around the park to spot Liam, but he was no where to be seen.

When I was about to go out and look for him, two hands grabbed my waist making me squeal. I jumped at the sudden touch, only to turn around and find Liam there laughing at me.

"Not funny, you scared the hell out of me!" I yelled at him.

He laughed once more,"Sorry love, but that was funny."

I rolled my eyes and hit him on the chest.

"Wanna go get some ice cream?" I suggested.

Liam checked his watch,"I don't know, it's almost time they close."

I smiled,"Well then we better run shouldn't we."

We started sprinting to the ice cream parlor, and by the time we got there we were both laughing and panting.

"This is the most exercise I've done all year." I said, through breaths.

Liam opened the door for me and we both walked in, I smiled at his small gesture. There was a little line, which I was surprised by because of the time.

We both ordered our ice creams, Liam ordered chocolate ice cream and I ordered a vanilla milkshake.

"I have't been here in years, last time I was here was with you when we were like I don't know, maybe 13?" I said.

He smiled, "Yeah I know. I'm happy were here, I never got to come here."

I furrowed my eyebrows,"Why?"

He sighed,"Well, I would always try and get Cody to come here with me, but she said that ice cream had to much carbs or it was unhealthy. She didn't like to eat sugar because she's the kind of girl that likes to work out, you know?"

"Yeah, well it's not bad to have sugar every once and a while." I shrugged.

Both of us went silent and just decided to go on our phones for a while. Once I was done checking everything on my phone, I started to scan the room noticing Liam was still on his phone laughing about something that seemed interesting to him.

As I was looking around the room, my eyes stopped at one simple thing, or should I say someone.

"Liam," I shook his shoulder,"I thought you said that Cody didn't like this ice cream parlor?"

Liam got off his phone,"Yeah she doesn't."

"Then why is she here?" I asked, pointing in her direction where she was sitting just starring at her phone.

Liam's eyes went wide,"Y-yeah, um. I actually don't know why she's here."

We just watched Cody, after a while a guy came to sit at her table. A person I recognized very well. It's that dumb jock Adam. I looked over at Liam and it looked like he was pretty mad, by the way his fist clenched together and how white his knuckles looked right now.

"Liam," I put my hand on his, making his stress go down,"You okay?"

He sighed,"Yeah, I'm just gonna go to the bathroom real quick."

I nodded before he stood up and walked away, I couldn't help but realize Adam was going in the same direction as Liam was.

My eyes jolted to Cody again. I wanted to go up to talk to her, to tell her off. But, I feel like Liam's gonna be mad at me for yelling at her, but at this point I didn't care so I did what I wanted to do.

I sat down across from Cody and her eyes disappeared from her phone.

She smiled at me, which seemed fake,"Oh, hello Charlotte."

I didn't even want to greet her back,"You know, I never thought It was possible to hurt a person so much as much as you are right now."

Her face turned into a confused expression,"I'm sorry, what?"

I laughed,"Cody, do you know how much you're hurting Liam right now? He's probably in the bathroom crying right now because of you. You hurt him, every time we would hang out, he would always tell me how much he loved you. He would always tell me that he was to nervous to even tell you he did. The day you broke up with him, also known as they day he was gonna tell you he loved you, you broke his heart. And now here you are, somewhere he wanted to take you for a long time, with another guy. And when we were at the carnival, you just started making out with Adam. What the hell Cody? You think that's gonna make him jealous? I can see right through you..I hope you're happy Cody, knowing you broke a heart, a heart that loved you so much. If you're just going to keep doing all this lovey dovey stuff , do it somewhere where Liam isn't is, you're just going to break him even more if that's even possible."

Cody's eye were in shock by the time I finished,"B-but he's dating you, why would he keep thinking about our relationship?"

"Because it takes a person a while to get over a broken heart." I explained to her.

"You think this is easy for me? Breaking up with Liam was the worst thing I could ever do, if I could take back anything in the world it would be breaking up with him, but no matter how much I want to, I just can't, I know I'll fall to hard for him anyways and  I just, Just..."

I laughed," Then Cody, why would you break up with him in the first place?" I asked her.

"Because! I know I'll fall to hard for him, and when we both go off to collage, our relationship will just be ruined, he won't see me I won't see him, so what's the point? I just couldn't carry on..." She trailed off.

I sighed,"Cody, you shouldn't of broken up with him, collage isn't until another 8 months, if you loved him so much then you should have spent every second of the day with him and not waste time. You're relationship wouldn't have been ruined, it was so strong and nobody could tear it apart. You made a mistake with breaking up with Liam, but that was your decision and I can't do anything else about it. I have to go, I hope to see you around sometime." I said, before scooting off my chair and going back to my original spot.

Liam finally came back and I sent him a reassuring smile.

"You alright?" I asked him, I was expecting a simple nod from him, but instead he gave me a big toothy smile.

"Yeah, actually couldn't be happier." He said, grabbing my hand and walking out the door.

Before leaving, I turned my head and gave Cody one last wave and smile, she game me one back as if saying thank you to me.

As we were walking home, Liam stopped mid-way.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

He bent down,"Get on my back."

I giggled at him and smiled before jumping on his back. He started running home and spinning around in circles making me laugh once more.

You know what, I just realized that I shouldn't have had that talk with Cody. The more time Liam and I spend with each other, the more I do realize that I like him, I mean I don't LOVE him, but I can confirm that I do have feelings for him. Talking to Cody I think made her realize that she loves him even more. And to know that Liam doesn't have the same feelings for me just...

Breaks my heart.

Yeah well, this chapter sucked. Only because I haven't updated in a while and I wanted to get an update in there for you guys.
