I had calmed down by the time Sam had gotten us a room, and after the three of us settled in, it was straight to research. Sam and I were sat at the small table, checking out various articles on Sam's laptop. Meanwhile, Dean was doing something he swore was productive, but it looked like he was doing nothing but walk aimlessly around the room.

"So, there's the three drowning victims this year." Sam stated as he looked up at Dean.

"Any before that?"Dean replied.

"Um, yeah."He said, glancing in my direction. I had taken control of the laptop and was currently scrolling through the article that Sam had recently found. I looked up briefly and furrowed my eyebrows when both boys were looking at me.

"What? Have I got something on my face!?"I exclaimed, reaching up with my hands to try and wipe off whatever it was. Sam sighed and dragged the laptop back to him and that's when I realized that I was meant to continue as I had the article. "Whoops, my bad."I said sheepishly to which Sam smiled.

"There's more spread out over the past thirty five years. Those bodies were never recovered either. If there's something out there, it's definitely picking up it's pace."Sam continued.

Dean huffed before responding."So, what, we got a lake monster on a binge?"

"This whole lake monster theory, it-it just bugs me."Sam said, shifting uncomfortably in his chair. Dean came over and read the article himself over Sam's shoulder.

"Why?"He asked.

Sam shrugged. "Loch Ness, Lake Champlain, they are literally hundreds of eye witness accounts, but here? Almost nothing."

"So, you're saying that whatever is out there, no one's living to talk about it?"I asked, trying to see if we were on the same page. Sam nodded. He scanned the rest of the article, making a move to find a new one as he hit the comment section of the page.

Dean quickly stopped him, pointing at the screen."Wait, Barr, Christopher Barr. Where have I heard that name before?"

Sam raised an eyebrow as he scrolled back up. "Yes, Christopher Barr. The victim in May."

"He seems to have his own article."I noted, seeing the link. Sam clicked on it, pulling up a new page. In the corner was a single photo. A police officer stood with a little boy who I recognised to be Lucas."Oh no."

"Christopher Barr was Andrea's husband, Lucas's father. Apparently he took Lucas swimming. Lucas was on a floating wooden platform when Chris drowned. Two hours before the kid got rescued."Sam explained, his voice soft and filled with remorse."Maybe we have an eye witness after all."

"No wonder that kid was so freaked out. Watching one of your parents die isn't something you just get over."Dean said quietly. I looked up at him with sympathy, knowing he was talking about his mother. I reached across and placed a hand on his shoulder to try and comfort him.

The three of us managed to find Andrea and Lucas at the town's park, remembering that that was where they were heading. Lucas was playing alone on a small table doing colouring while Andrea sat at a bench watching him.

"Can we join you?"Sam asked politely.

"I'm here with my son."She said with a shrug.

"Oh.. mind if I say hi?"I asked although I didn't really give her time to answer. I walked to Lucas and sat on the floor opposite him."Hey Lucas." He doesn't look up from his drawing. I pick up one of the toy soldiers that was on the table."Me and Sam used to play with these when we were little."I said with a chuckle and imitate guns and explosions before putting it back down. "So, you like to draw huh? I loved to draw when I was a kid too." He doesn't respond so I look over to some of his drawings. The first one is of a red bicycle and the second is just black swirls although I swear I can see a figure beneath it."Hey, these are really good. Mind if I draw as well?" Again he doesn't respond so I pick up a piece of paper and a crayon, beginning to draw. "I know you can hear me, you just don't want to talk, and that's fine. I don't know exactly what happened to your Dad, but I know it was something bad....You know, I don't know how you feel exactly but I grew up without my mom. Something bad happened to her when I was a baby but my Dad doesn't talk about it.And sometimes....."I paused, thinking of the man with yellow eyes and all the terrible things I've seen."Sometimes, I see some really bad things. Maybe you think no one will listen to what you have to say, or believe you. I just want you to know that I feel the same all the time, but I will believe you Lucas. You don't have to say anything, just draw me a picture. Here this is for you."
