Katherine P.O.V
Dean pulled the Impala up into the driveway of the abandoned house. A rawhead waited inside. We all exited the car and headed to the trunk for supplies. Dean took out three tasers and handed one to each of us.
"What do you got those amped up to?"Sam asked.
"A hundred thousand volts."Dean replied.
"Damn."I breathed out, looking down to the taser in my hand a little unsure.
"Yeah, I want this rawhead extra frickin' crispy." And remember, you only get one shot with these things. So make it count."Dean mentioned as he slammed the trunk closed. The boys ran ahead towards the house while I lingered back, something felt wrong. I took in a deep breath before following them.
After searching the downstairs, we decided to check upstairs but just as we made our way to the stairs, I heard movement behind the door to the basement."Pssst, guys."I whispered to them and they both turned to me. I tilted my head to the door and Dean nodded, making his way back down the stairs.
"Open it then."Dean hissed and I raised an eyebrow.
"You open it."I snapped back.
"Really guys? We're gonna do this now?"Sam groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. I held my hand out and Dean did the same. We played rock, paper, scissors and Dean, like always, went for scissors. I looked down at my rock and chuckled. Dean frowned and groaned.
"Open the door, Batman."I stepped to the side as Dean opened the door, making his way inside, Sam following and me last. We took the corner to the basement and searched around a bit when a thud came from inside the wardrobe. All our eyes snapped in that direction and we shared a look. Sam and Dean moved to the side as I went to open it."On three. One. Two. Three."I whispered and then yanked the door open. Sat inside were two terrified children. Sam crouched down to check on them.
"Is it still here?"He asked them quietly. They both simply nodded, unable to speak. He helped the little boy up.
"Okay. Grab your sister's hand, come on, we gotta get you out of here. Let's go, let's go."Dean said and Sam and I help them towards the stairs. As I led the kids up the stairs, a hand shot through the railing and caught ahold of my ankle, dragging me to back down. The kids screamed and ran ahead while Dean came running round the corner in an attempt to shoot whatever had a grip on me.
"Kat!"Sam yelled and leant down to help me up but I held up a hand to stop him.
"No! Help them Sam."I ordered as I tried to pry my ankle free. Sam seemed to hesitate."Go!"He sighed but grudgingly walked up the stairs with the kids."Dean!"I called and he looked towards me. I tossed him my taser as he had already used his and dragged myself to the wall. I was right next to a big puddle. Dean started to look around, on high alert, and all I could do was watch him.
"Come on!"Dean shouted. Suddenly, a ragged, hairy creature leaps out of the shadows and shoved Dean backwards. His taser gun went flying and landed next to me in the puddle. Dean groaned in pain and I saw a flicker of an idea cross his face. Both our eyes glanced towards the taser laying in the puddle and my eyes widened as I realized what Dean planned to do.
"Dean, no!"I screamed and dove over him, kicking his body to the side and out the puddle but essentially putting me into it."Hey, you ugly son of a bitch! Over here!"I yelled as the creature made it's way towards me. As soon as the thing stepped close enough, I shot the taser at it. I thought I heard someone yell my name but I wasn't sure because the pain took over and everything went black.
