I still couldn't see or think properly but that wasn't going to stop me from going with them. Dean had a lot to say about my decision but when did I ever listen to him. To me it was quite simple. They take me with them or I find my own way there. Dean and I were sat at the table going through last minutes of the plan while Sam went to gather the necessaries that we needed.

"We think we've got a serious lead on the thing that killed Mom. So, uh, this warehouse—it's 1435 West Erie. Dad, if you get this, get to Chicago as soon as you can."Dean said, leaving a message for John. Sam came into the room carrying the bag full of weapons and dumping it onto the bed.

"Voicemail?"Sam asked and I raised an eyebrow at him. Did he expect different? Dean and I stood from the table and made our way over to stand beside Sam.

"Yeah."Dean replied. I closed my eyes and rubbed slowly on my temples as my head spun.

"You sure your're okay, Kat?"Sam asked concerned. I opened my eyes and smiled weakly.

"I'm coming with you Sam."I smirked and then flinched when a sharp burning sensation spread through my body.

"Never said you weren't. I know you well enough to know it doesn't matter what we say anyway."He rolled his eyes and smiled.

Dean glanced down at the bag."Jesus, what'd you get?"

Sam chuckled slightly."I ransacked that trunk. Holy water, every weapon that I could think of, exorcism rituals from about a half dozen religions."As he was talking, I started going through the bag, pulling out different books and throwing them back." I'm not sure what to expect, so I guess we should just expect everything." Dean nodded and they started to load the guns. I took the the time to sit down and catch my breath. I wasn't gonna be any help if I was passing out on them.

"Big night."Dean mentioned.

"Yeah. You nervous?"Sam questioned. I shook my head but in all actual fact, I was terrified. Not for me but for them. Their entire life was for this one moment. It was always about hunting the demon.

"No. Why, are you?"Dean replied, looking to his younger brother.

"No. No way."Sam answered but seemed like he wanted to say something else. Silence filled the room for a few moments before Sam finally opened his mouth, his voice filled with excited disbelief."God, could you imagine if we actually found that damn thing? That demon?"

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, alright?"I mumbled, not wanting him to have false hope.

"I know. I'm just sayin', what if we did? What if this whole thing was over tonight? Man, I'd sleep for a month. Go back to school—be a person again."Sam said, shaking his head in awe. I looked up to him with furrowed eyebrows.

Dean paused what he was doing and pursed his lips."You wanna go back to school?"

"Yeah, once we're done huntin' the thing."Sam replied as if it was obvious.

"Huh."Dean huffed and I looked down in thought.

"Why, is there somethin' wrong with that?"Sam asked.

"No. No, it's, uh, great. Good for you."Dean said although it was clear that wasn't what he thought.

Sam frowned."I mean, what are you gonna do when it's all over?"

"It's never gonna be over. There's gonna be others. There's always gonna be somethin' to hunt."I replied, standing up abruptly and making my way over to help load the guns.

Sam looked over to me and then back to Dean."But there's got to be somethin' that you want for yourselves—"

"Yeah, I don't want you to leave the second this thing's over, Sam."Dean said, his voice raising slightly. He walked over to the dresser, his back turned to us. I looked to Sam with sad eyes, letting him know I agree. I didn't think he would leave again.
