Chapter 40: Game over.

Regina's pov:

"Talk to you later, don't forget what i told you." I climbed of Adrian's motorcycle as i took off the helmet and handed it to him.

Patting his pocket where the pictures lay safely, he grinned at me. "Don't worry, i'll put the pictures in an envelope and leave it in her locker." He gripped the helmet from my hand.

We just came back from the 'unmasking Jake's mission' which ended in an unexpected way. Still we had fun, sneaking around, chasing his car -without him noticing- climbing a tree in order to have a better view and get the pictures from a good angle and that was the hilarious part, i wasn't able to climb the tree, that got me so frustrated, however with Adrian's help we did it. After climbing the tree we took a bunch of pictures and then run away.

What a mission.

"Good, now see you later." I waved at him slightly before turning around and making my way to the front door.

"Take it easy partner." I heard Adrian chuckle before it was cut off with the motorcycle's engine.

What a day, i thought to myself, its been a while since i had this fun and thought about something else other than my bad decisions and mistakes. It feels refreshing and for the first time in a while, i felt myself, the normal me back, for the first time in a while, i felt alive with no dark thoughts clouding my mind. And the person i need to thank for this is Adrian.

Ringing the front door's bell, it swung open revealing one of the maids who greeted me with a respectful smile. Smiling back at her, i got inside the house before handing her my coat.

"Who's in the house?" I asked her.

"Um, Mrs Walker is in her room resting for a while, and master is in his room as well." She informed me.

Nodding, i turned around to make my way upstairs, however, i stopped myself midway once i remembered something. "And Nina and Justin? Where are they?" I asked as i faced her.

"They left just after you did." She spoke making me frown.

Nina and Justin? Left together? There's Something fishy in here, i'm sure they're up to something.

Pulling out my phone, i changed my destination from my room to the living room. I heard the maid say something which i nod to although i didn't hear her because i was concentrating on my phone.

'Where are u?'

I clicked the send button as i reached the living room's entrance. Second later, the phone buzzed in my hand.

'Aw missing me already, baby?'

Rolling my eyes, i tipped an 'answer me' before clicking send and waiting for his reply.

"Uh, what the fuck is she doing in here?" I heard a very familiar voice say making me literally freeze in my spot, not finding the courage to look up and face him.

"Regina?" Another familiar voice spoke in disbelief as another one said at the same time "Gabriella?"

This time, my head snapped up, what are they doing in here? I was shocked, all of them are here? This situation is horrifying.

In front of me sat on the couch, Ron, Max, Eden and even Théo, each one of them with a different expression. Max had concern all over his face, Eden was confused, Théo had an amused look -which made me wonder, why in the world is Théo hanging out with them?- but the one that made my breathing hitch was the look on Ron's face, it was a mixture of hurt, anger, disgust and even hatred.
