Roxy's pov:

I was already awake when my alarm went off, so when i heard the extremely loud noise coming from the device i wasn't startled.

I rolled out of my bed feeling excitement running through my veins. It was the first day back to school but more importantly, it was the last first day of high school!

As i rubbed my eyes lightly and walked towards my bathroom, a small yawn escaped from my lips. I turned the hot water on. Stripped of my superman's pyjama as my eyes accidentally fell on my reflection in the mirror and i couldn't help but laugh at how i looked, i was a mess. Clearly the rule of i woke up looking flawless didn't apply on me.

After the shower, i threw on something comfy for the day, grabbed my backpack and skateboard before i made my way out of my room not bothering with makeup for i didin't need it, i was beautiful with out it anyways, plus i didn't even know how to use it.

I headed towards the kitchen to find my mother preparing  breakfast as my dad and little sister were messing around.

"Morning!" I smiled, taking a seat next to my father in the dinning room's table that was connected to the kitchen.

"Roxy, may i use your laptop?" My little sister Ella asked while showing me her puppy dog eyes.

Well i'm sorry to break it to her, it's not working on me. I thought to myself.

"Noway, you'll break it, besides, you're a six years old kid, what do you want to do with my laptop?" I pointed out, feeling really annoyed to repeat myself, she always asked to use my laptop and i always said no, she was really nerve wracking.

A second later, her fit of hysterical crying started, as if that was going to change my mind, my laptop was my baby, my whole entire life, i wasn't going to sacrefice it just so little princess Ella would stop crying.

"Mummy! she said noo!"she cried out, rubbing her red eyes as she wrapped her arms around my mother's torso.

"Roxanne why are you so mean to your little sister?" my mom gave me the stink eye before patting Ella on the head.

"But-" i tried to defend myself nevertheless my mom didn't give me the opportunity to do so, for she raised her hand to silence me then she turned her attention to my sister.

"We don't need Roxy's stupid laptop, i'm going to let you use mine, okay honey?"

"You see dad, she's spoiling her." i whispered to my dad's ear and he shook his head from side to side while laughing lightly.

Breakfast went by with me and my father having small talks and when i was done, i bid everyone goodbye then went out.

I reached the spot where i was supposed to meet Regina, knowing her, i was sure she'd be going be late, so, i started calling her on my phone and after what seemed like forever, she finally showed up.

Regina Rosalty, my best friend. she was cat walking on the street as if it was her own runway, chin up, hips swaying from side to side and a boosting confidence radiating out from her.

She really looked like a model, her long black shiny hair was falling down her shoulders in soft waves and her big chocolate brown eyes sparkled under September's sunlight. She was wearing a black pair of high waisted shorts and a light pink buttoned up top, a black pair of high heels and an expensive looking purse dangling from her arm.

A faint smile split her face like always in the morning for she claimed  that she didn't have the energy to be happy or plaster a huge grin on her face at this early time of the day.

"God Regina, you're so late, do you want to get in troubles on the first day of school? No! So hurry." I scolded her like i always did.

"Okay okay, whatever. What happened to breaking the rules because it's our last year in high school?" She mumbled under her breath.

I can't belive this girl.

As we started walking, i found myself speaking. "So how are you doing? " i looked back at her sparkling eyes that looked even bigger when she applied cat eyeliner on them.

"Fine, how about you?" She spoke tediously.

"Great, i'm feeling that today is going to be a great day!" I smiled happily.

"Dammit Roxy, you're blinding me with your positive energy at the early morning." Regina groaned dramatically, whie hiding her face behind her hands. It made me burst out with laughter.

We jumped from one topic to another as we walked side by side on the sidewalk. I've always loved talking to Regina. I could be myself around her and she'd never judge me.

Regina was that kind of strong girl from inside and outside, she was super confident especially when it came to her looks. She believed in herself and she always did whatever mada her happy not caring about the rest, she could be cold at times and she was extra moody which made dealing with her kind of difficult at times.

The beautiful brunette always acted like a heartless person but i prefered to belive that behind that tough girl's act, she had a huge heart.

In the middle of my talk about the latest book i've read, i noticed that we reached the schoo's front gate.

'Chicago East Privet High'

The words were displayed on top of the metallic gate. It was a privet school, most of the students attending it descended from the richest families in this whole town, thankfully there was no dress code, otherwise i would've burned that stupid little skirt.

Another thing i noticed was that my best friend was daydreaming by my side not paying attention to anything.

Wait, so i've been talking to myself all that time? Way to make me seem crazy. I thought to myself, she did that a lot, zone out and leave me talking to myself with the illusion that she was listening to me.

"Earth to Regina, are you listening to me?" I wondred even though i knew the answer to my question and when she did not replay i started poking her on the cheek.

"What?" She snapped, slapping my hand away her as i rolled my eyes with amusment.

Pointing out towards the school i spoke. "We're here"

"Oh!" Was all what she said before we walked through the gate.

If i was asked to describe Regina Rosalty in three words, they would probably be:

Strong, Heartless and independent.
