Roxy's pov:
I arrived at Starbucks earlier than everyone else, well, i wasn't early, it was exactly three o'clock, however, my friends were never and will never respect timing. You would think that college fixed them but noo, these people are incorrigible.
After ordering my drink, i made my way through the tables and sat in the booth we usually booked, it was the one in the far corner by the glass window overlooking the busy street.
This place didn't change at all, the same antique furniture, the same calming aroma of coffee, the same friendly staff.
Me and the rest of the clique members used to come here by the end of the first day of every school year, nonetheless, since we're now in different colleges there's the problem of distance, so last year Caleb suggested that we should change the date to a week before the beginning of courses. It was a smart suggestion of him.
I was feeling excitement building up inside me with every passing minute, it's not like we didn't see each other in a really long time, we practically spent half of the summer together, but since college is starting in a week, our meetings will get shorter because of the crowded schedules we have. God, it's my second year in college and i'm already drained of it, but still, compared to my senior year, college is much much better.
My senior year was so far the most dramatic year i've ever lived in my whole life, i mean, i experienced everything, finding out that i have feelings for my two guy friends, getting betrayed by my best friend, getting kidnapped, getting into a wild cat fight at a club in LA, having a car race, getting arrested and finally getting shot by a psychopathic girl.
Now tell me about drama and insanity.
Although whenever my mind goes back to those memories i feel a boost of confidence running through my veins. I survived all that! It makes me feel invincible.
Nevertheless, there was other things i experienced from that year apart from drama, like tasting love for the first time, it was magical and it still is, my relationship with Ron is going pretty well even when there's the new challenge of distance which kind of sparks some arguments and fights, but no matter what, we always fix them together, we're holding into one another too tightly and we'll never let go.
Adding to that, the events of senior year made me realize that the people i'm surrounded with are here to stay in my life, i'm proud to call them my friends for after all what we've been through it only made our friendship stronger.
I remember Christy telling me once that maybe we'll get separated along the way, but it's only a test of our friendship, and if it's a genuine one, we'll find our way back to each other. I didn't think about it that much back then, but now, i can see it, we're still together after all the bad moments and problems we faced, it shows how genuine our friendship is.
I'm not saying that it's perfect though, i remember the week after i got shot was a bad week on all of us, Anona was furious when she heard that i made up with Regina, she was worried that Regina might hurt me all over again, i remember them getting into a fight at the party Pamela threw for me as a celebration of getting well.
Anona wasn't the only problem, Christy ans Caleb were finding it hard to trust Regina one more time as well, and even Ron was insisting that he'll never give her a second chance, funny how he kept on repeating the same words of 'never ever' i was afraid he might turn into a Taylor Swift but at the end he came around, just like the rest did and right now they're back like before, since Ron and Region go to the same college, they actually became closer than before because they spend a lot of time together.
The two of them decided to major in business management at Columbia way back in New York City.
Eden also goes to Columbia, but he's majoring in Architecture.
