Regina's pov:
We were supposed to be in the Ellwels private jet right now, we were supposed to be in the air flying back to Chicago, we were supposed to have only few hours then we're home. But noo! thanks to Chicago's crappy weather, we couldn't fly back, the airlines were closed because of a huge storm and the jet's pilot said it's too risky to fly back.
So, we were stuck in here for another day, our flight was delayed to tomorrow afternoon. Curse my luck, i was really counting the hours, minutes even to go back home and never have to intereact with them other than at school.
Aaron mentioned that there's a bonfire party at the beach tonight, so everyone decided to attend it, other than that we had the day for ourselves to do whatever please us. I was bored, i didn't have anything to do nor anyone to talk to.
The boys decided to have a volleyball match in the backyard meanwhile the girls went to a spa -they literally dragged Roxy with them- and then there was me, left alone in my bedroom. I sketched, took a shower, then opened my laptop and googled some nice and close locations to visit in LA.
As i did so, something caught my eyes, a really famous artist was having an art gallery and the location is not that far away from the beach house.
Perfect.
The art gallery was a perfect opportunity to escape this place, i had to take it, so, i made my way towards my closet, pulling out a purple colored dress.
Slipping it on, i glanced at my reflection in the mirror, the dress wasn't too classy nor too casual. It was sleeveless, hugging my curves perfectly. It stopped an inch above my knees. The neck was low cut into a 'V' shape showing a little bit of cleavage, meanwhile the back was made of lace.
I straightened my hair then pulled it up into a classy pony tail before applying some light makeup. When i was done, i slipped on a pair of black high heels, grabbed my matching clutch where i threw my cellphone, lip gloss and cridit cards inside then walked out of my room.
I stole Adrian's car keys, he won't mind me driving his car anyways -unlike Eden- after that i headed to the garage, hopped in his Camaro and drove off.
The art gallery was marvellous, a lot of classy people attended it, people who cared about art and people who just came to show off, people who understood it and others whom only cared about making their collection bigger. I was taking my time with inspecting each and every single painting as i sipped from my glass of champagne while dreaming that one day, i might open my own art gallery.
I enjoyed listening to the artist explaining the stories behind every canevas hanged on the wall. I talked with few people, mingling with the crowd.
However, being surrounded with art works did not make me feel at ease, usually this would make me so happy, but now, it did not have any effect on me, i was feeling my sadness and loneliness growing bigger, and even when i was in the middle of a huge crowd, it only reminded me of how lonely i was.
That's why i found myself sprawled on the couch back in the beach house with a painting which i know my mother would be pleased to have. My high heels laying on the floor randomly meanwhile i flipped through the tv channels.
When i came back to the beach house i didn't find anyone, it seems that even the boys went out after i left to the gallery.
A sigh escaped my lips as i didn't find anything interesting on tv. All of a sudden, a familiar voice echoed through the silence.
"What the bloody hell Ed? I woke up to find the house empty...where did you go?" A moment of silence passed as i heard Zachary shuffle in the kitchen. "Carnival?...And why didn't you wake me up?"
