Regina's pov:After dancing with Eden for a while, we both stood by one of the tables with glasses of champagne in our hands as we talked.
"You're a great dancer by the way!" Eden spoke.
"Seriously? What we did few seconds earlier wasn't dancing, it was just swaying, but if that's your version of complementing me, then thanks." I teased him.
Eden is a really great guy, somehow he's the whole package, funny, handsome, chill and smart, he knows how to entertain people and also makes them feel comfortable around him, without forgetting the fact that he's there for you whenever you need him.
"Wow, i would've really appreciated it if you didn't say the first part and went right away to the part where you thanked me." He rolled his eyes.
"And where's the fun in that? If i did so, i wouldn't get the chance to see the irritated face you're making." I laughed and soon enough he joined me.
"I"m really glad you asked me to come with you today, i thought you'll attend the banquet with Zachary." He smiled.
Giving him a puzzled look, i asked. "Why would you think that?"
"I don't know, maybe because of the fact that you two live under the same roof or the fact that he was your boyfriend, or because it seems that you have some kind of bizarre chemistry." He suggested.
"Fake boyfriend, and Bizarre chemistry? Really?" I snorted.
"Yeah don't you feel it?"
"Me and the word feelings don't exactly get along." The only thing i feel these days is guilt and anger. I added in my mind, that's far away from the feelings he's talking about.
"Are you sure?""Of what?"
"You do not have feelings towards Zach?" His question was so sudden to the point where i chocked in my drink.
"W-wha...?" I trailed off not finding the right words to say.
"So? Do you like him or not?"
Do i like him? Do i like Zach...?
Wait, why in the world am i hesitating? the answer is clear.
"N-no, of course not." I breathed.
"You sure you're not in denial?"
"Den-...what?" I frowned in confusion. "Why are you asking all of these meaningless questions anyway?"
"I just want to make sure that you don't have feelings towards my best friend because i don't want to get myself in a love triangle by asking you out and then you'll end up choosing him because you always loved him but you were confused and then i'll start drinking to forget about you and i'll loose everything because of my sorrow over you then die alone in the streets." He spoke in one breath stunning me.
Did he just made all this up in few seconds?
"What? I rambled, ha?" He chuckled nervously as i only nodded.
"I've never met someone who's this straight forward."
"You're not the first person who said this to me." He smiled. "People mostly get intimidated by my attitude and boldness."
"Really? I find it rather cool, i wish i can blurt out what's on my mind carelessly like you do." I spoke honestly.
Eden and i are pretty much different, because unlike me he's not afraid of speaking his mind. Before i used to keep my thoughts to myself, until recently i started saying what i think about and it feels really good.
