Chapter 6: Isana Blossom

Episode 6: Blood lines

Archellion

February 28, 2016

Alejandra's P.O.V.

Liz was walking behind me complaining. She hated this place. She swore up and down that this place was haunted. The feeling was ominous enough and it didn't help with the evil energy of the mutated Archellians. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it was haunted though, either way she's the one that chooses to accompany me.

"You are so lucky I love you," She said from behind me, "What are we doing here again?"

"Well I figured I haven't figured out how to cure the Archellians yet, but maybe I can still do something about the environment," I replied as I looked at the ash covered floor.

"Where'd you get this idea?" Liz said, "didn't we promise Caderyn and Aetius while they were out on mission that we'd stay in Corcellion?"

"Yeah, we promise a lot of things," I replied, "and it's nothing, I was just thinking about something D told me once and I got the idea..."

"What'd he say?" She asked as she swatted away a dead tree branch in her way.

"It wasn't really romantic, it was more like an observation," I replied as I continued to walk.

"Are you going to tell me or what?" She sighed.

"No matter how smoggy Gotham is, the air always seems to clear up whenever I'm around," I replied. It wasn't what he said word for word. I just didn't want to repeat the sentence because I didn't want to bring back the memory. If I brought that one, I'm sure another more recent one wouldn't be far in following.

"You two are both idiots!" Liz grumbled as she walked ahead. "If I had a connection like you two, I would never let go of it. Not even for the world! I don't care what my mentors say." She put her hands into fists as she clutched the air turning to face me. "I mean do you know just how bright your strings are? The only person that has the string strong enough to steal you away is me and you know if I put my mind to it, I could totally steal you away."

"Aw, we'd look cute together!" I said.

"Please, I look cute regardless!" She retorted. I playfully shoved her.

"No, but our string is as strong as mine and D's?" I said looking at her before jumping on her back so she could give me a piggy back ride. I let out a sigh. "Why couldn't I fall for you then?"

"Because the string we share is one of friendship," She said as she walked carrying me along, "I mean it probably would have been different if we liked girls. But for one, I have this rule about who I date, and that is that only one of us can have long hair in the relationship." I laughed. "Speaking of, do you think I'll find my own Archellian Tarzan around here?" She looked around scanning the trees for a hot, muscular, swinging man. Tarzan was Liz's childhood love, just like Prince Eric used to be mine.

"I thought you just said he can't have long hair?" I said laughing.

"Hello? There's a thing called scissors!" She retorted.

"And if he doesn't want to cut it?" I said.

"Then, depending on how hot he is, he just might be an exception." She replied sighing, "but honestly keep a look out, and I'm calling dibs right now."

"I feel like I deserve a freebie!" I said.

"A freebie, why?" She argued.

"Remember the incident?" I said raising an eyebrow at her.
