Chapter 8

Cammies P.O.V

My mom picked me up from the airport, I'm sure my cheeks where still puffy from crying. She comes up to me and gave me a hug, she looked at me and smiled but then frowned when she realized I wasn't smiling. She gave me another long hug, and drove me home. She has made dinner for me, I sit down at the table and just sit there as my mom and dad talked. "Cammie eat you haven't touched your food"my mom says
"I'm just not very hungry" I say almost crying again "um...Ill just put this in the fridge and eat it later" my eyes begin to water and I run to my room and cry into my pillow. I can here the door open and Keegan jumps on my bed and cuddles next to me. I turn on my phone and I have a text from Shannon.
"Hey pretty girl" the text reads
"Hey Shan. I'm supper sad without you" I reply just as I reply to the text my mom walks into my room. She sits on the edge of my bed and rubs my back, when she rubs my back it reminds me of Shannon when she did that to me. "Cam, you doing okay?"
"Yeah I'm grand" I reply
"Honey, no your not. You need to remember that you still have this girl. You didn't break up, your just apart, for now. You don't have to forget about her because you still have her and a lot of people can't say that but you can. It understandable that your sad now but you'll see her again and you need to remember that, okay?"
"Yeah but how can I when all I can do is picture her face" I ask
"You can picture her face now but in a while you won't be able to and that's why you have to go see her again, to remember what her face looks like, to remember what she feels like, how soft her hair is and everything." She replied. I nod and she gives me a kissing the head and leaves. I look back at my phone and see Shannon's text.
"Well I'm a wreck, I can't even" I smile at the text and remember when we made those goofy voices.
"You can't even" I copy
"Literally can't even! Vanessa came over after you left and is taking care of me."
"Aww she's so sweet. Tell her I miss her okay?"
"Okay. I have to go to sleep I'm tired, FaceTime tomorrow?"
"Definitely! I love you!"
"Love you too cam bam"

Shannon's P.O.V

I woke up that morning with cammie on my mind, I had gotten so used to sleeping in a bed with her that I left her side untouched last night. I looked at my phone I had two new messages from cam
"Hey you up" "your probably still sleeping" they read
"I'm up now" I reply
"Oh good! FaceTime?"
"Always" the phone began to ring and I picked it up. Cammie looked good but she looked broken, she had bags under her eyes and her eyes where so close to shutting. I coldest have looked much better though. "Shannon you look-" she said as I cut her off
"Awful I know but it's only because I miss you"
"I was going to say beautiful but you do look bad to" I laughed and told her she was gorgeous and we continued talking for hours.

****5 weeks later****

I get to see cammie in three days but while I'm there I have to study for finals so I can't get to distracted. I'm so excited though me and cam have been planning out the whole week and I can't wait to finally meet her parents and her brother. Oh it's going to be so much fun.
