Chapter 16

Shannon's P.O.V

Todays cammies birthday, I woke up before she did to help with the surprise party. Sandie was in the kitchen blowing up balloons and baking the cake while Lee and cams dad are messing with Keegan.
"Oh Shannon good I'm glad your awake! I need you to make cam some waffles, are you okay with doing that?" Sandie asks me
"Umm yeah that sounds fine" I say rubbing my face, I pull out the waffle maker and start stirring the mix. I make about 15 waffles because I know Lee will at least eat 5 and cam will eat about one and a half. After I had finished making them I went back into the room to wake up cammie, she was scrunched up into a little ball, she's so cute. I lay in the bed and being rubbing her arms, it gives her goosebumps and she rolls over and stretches.
"Good morning pretty girl" I say
"Hey beautiful" she says and kisses my cheek
"So what do you want to do for your birthday?"
"Hm...I don't know you tell me?"
"It's your birthday cam Scott, anyway do you want some breakfast?"
"Sure"
We walkout of the room and cammie sees the balloons and the present and she's in complete awe.
"Oh my God! Guys this is so nice!" She says hugging her family. "Shan did you do this?"
"No, no this was all your family I just made waffles and woke you up" I reassure her
"Well that's doing something"
"No this was all your family cam so-" she cut me off with a kiss.
"Thank you Shan. And thank you guys for all the wonderful things you did"
"Well technically it was all moms idea and we just went along with it"Lee said, just as Lee said that Keegan came walking out with balloons on his collar.
"Aww keeg, you look so handsome" cam says
"Now that, that is what we did" Lee said laughing at Keegan, cammie sits down at the table as we serve her waffles and orange juice. I sit next to her and hold her hand and wait for her to finish eating. She didn't finish for another 20 minutes because she was talking with everyone, but I had an exciting day planned for us. We're going to a movie, then get sushi, then go for a walk, and I have Vanessa coming over so I hope cam will be surprised.
"Okay cam you done because I have a great day planned" Sandie said
"Yeah, okay let's go" cammie said
"Uhh cam I thought we where going to hang out today" I say pulling on cams sleeve
"Yeah Shan we'll definitely hang out but I'm just going to do some stuff with my mom okay"
"Umm okay yeah, have fun". The whole day wasn't going to be a bust, so what if I had to cancel a few plans it's not a big deal. I go back into our room and start studying for finals, after about 2 hours pass by I hear the front door open, I walk into the kitchen and see Lee in his work cloths getting something from the fridge.
"Oh hey Shannon" he says
"Hey Lee" I say back
"You missin' cam?"
"Yeah, I kinda had the whole day planned, but I understand if she wants to be with her mom today"
"Yeah moms just looking to spend some time with cam before she moves in with you"
"Cammie told you" I say feeling guilty
"Yeah she told us a couple days ago" he said taking a bite of an apple
"So...do you guys think that's okay?"
"Yeah we where wondering when you where going to ask her...I mean all you would do was stare at cam nervously"
"Really, oh God that's embarrassing"
"Yeah we all made a bet to see what it was you where going to ask her"
"Really who won?" I ask now intrigued
"Cammie. Well I have to go I'll see you later Shan"
"Uhh.....bye....Lee". How the hell did cammie know I wanted her to move in with me? Was I that obvious? It doesn't matter, I have to finish packing because I leave in like 10 hours.

***3 hours later***
I haven't seen cam at all except this morning, I thought she was going to be home by now. I'm not mad I just want to spend some time with my girlfriend before I have to leave, Vanessa came over and we've been talking for a while.
"I have to leave soon and what if she's not back by then" I say nervously
"Honestly Shan do you think this thing she's doing with her mom is going to take 7 hours?" Vanessa said calming me down
"Yeah. So how are things with Shea?"
"Pretty great, she's really sweet and I think we're getting pretty serious"
"Awe ness, that's great! I'm really happy for you" I'm happy for ness, she's never really found someone to really care about except for me and Conner.

Cammies P.O.V

I had an amazing day! Mom took me to a nail salon, and I got my hair done, and we went to a bar, and across town to see some of my cousins! I feel bad for leaving Shannon though, but she understands that I have to have a day with my family. We got home at around 12:26 and I couldn't wait to spend the rest of the night with Shannon, I walked into the house and yelled her name.
"Shan!" No answer "shan where are you?" I laugh, but still no answer. I go into our room to cheek if she's asleep but she wasn't and her stuff was gone. I turned on the lights and saw her hoodie lying on the bed like when we had that fight and almost brown up. There was a note on the hoodie that read:

Dear cam bam,
I'm so sorry, but I had to go or else I'd miss my flight. I'm going to miss you lien crazy! I really really REALLY love you and I can't wait to see you again. I miss hanging out with you today. Vanessa came over and was waiting for you to come home and chug some beers! I hope you had fun with your mom, and again I'm so sorry I had to leave without saying goodbye...so here's my hoodie. I know you love it and I want you to have it. I love you like crazy Camden! Xoxo!
(P.s. The next time we see each other you'll be living with me! Eek so exciting!)

I could feel the tears rush down my face. My mom walked in and saw me crying.
"Cammie what wrong? Where's Shannon?" She asked. I didn't say anything I jut held up the note and held the hoodie.
