Chapter 25

Cammies P.O.V

I help Shannon get washed up and then we get out of the shower. I wrap a towel around her first and then grab my own, she sits on the bed while I get dressed before I help her. I put on her pants while she puts on her shirt, I roll up the pant leg where her brace is.
"Thanks baby" she says kissing me on the head
"Welcome" I say in a squeaky voice, I finish rolling up her pant leg, I dry her hair. She tries getting up but fails causing her to scream in pain.
"You okay?" I say kneeling beside her
"mmhhmm...just hurt a little" she says
"Here I'll help you get into bed" I say grabbing her by her arms
"I hate this" she admits
"Why?"
"I don't like needing so much help" she says while pulling up the covers
"It's okay I don't mind doing it for you"
"Are you sure? I feel so bad"
"Shannon this helps me, I felt awful when we crashed. Watching your family cry because I couldn't just let things be-"
"Right, I'm sorry for complaining". I give her the kiss, the kiss I told her she had to earn. It was true she did earn it, she had been working her best in therapy, doing her best to stay positive, and being an amazing girlfriend. I lie her on the bed continuing to kiss her, laying I between her sliding my hand down to hers interlocking our fingers while we kissed. She disconnected the kiss and looked me in the eyes.
"What did I do to earn that" she asked out of breath
"Your so strong and positive" I answer
"Not everyday"
"But today..today you where". She kissed me again but this time more aggressive, she started sitting up to take off my shirt.
"No no no, you need to rest I'll do all the work" I whisper in her ear.

Shannon's P.O.V

Cammie ran her fingers down my neck and reached my nipple, she twirled her fingers around and around. I lifted my back a little while we where kissing, she held my body up to hers. She kissed her way down my neck and took off my shirt, she sat there staring at the scars, the one on my chest and the one on my stomach. She began to freak out, her breathing began to become rapid, I watched her but couldn't take it anymore. I sat up and hugged her, she didn't hug back she just sat there hyperventilating.
"Your okay" I reassure her, she kept on sitting there not moving, I put my shirt back on and lay her down. Her body still as she stares at the ceiling, I don't know what came over her she's just blank now. I get up and wobble my way into the kitchen to grab some food, but of course everything is expired. I take out my phone and order one sushi for the both of us, I check on cam and she's still laying in bed staring at the ceiling. I went back into the room and touched her arm and she jumped, she looked at me like she had never seen me before, she laid back down in bed and stares at the ceiling.
"Camden?" I say seriously "Camden, your freaking me out"
"You died..." She whispered and I almost couldn't hear her
"No I didn't cam I'm right here"
"No you died! I was in the ambulance with you and your heart stopped!"
"Cam I'm fi-"
"Oh God Shannon don't even start with the fucking 'I'm fine' shit!! No your not, your nightmares are intense as hell!!"
"There not that bad anymore..."
"Yes they are I can see it! Just leave me the fuck alone."
"Okay, I'm umm just going to take a walk"
"Whatever"
I put on a hoodie and walk outside. I start limping around the block.
"Hey crippled" I hear a familiar voice say, I turn and see her car.
"Hey ness!" I scream
"Get in" she laughs "what are you doing out in the cold?"
"Cam needed some space so I went for a walk to let her cool down"
"Oh I see, why did she need to cool down?"
"Well we were making out and you know...she took off my shirt and saw my scars and completely blanked out then got really pissed"
"Well first of all, thanks you for sparing me the details and second, she just needs time to process this" she says gesturing to me
"But she doesn't seem to be getting very used to it"
"These things take time Shan, when I first saw you at the hospital I was pissed at cam for letting that happen to you but now I'm not and she...she's still a little mad at herself for what happened to you and she takes it out on you"
"But why does she take it out on me"
"Because she wants to push you away because you hurt her by almost dying and shit"
"Well I'm not going anywhere" I tell her
"Don't tell me that tell her" Vanessa says pointing to cammie who was in the middle of the street, I got out of the car and started limping toward her.
"Cam what are you doing out here" I ask
"I was lying in bed and I realized that your not supposed to be walking but since you have a ride then I'll just stop worrying" she yells then storms off.
"Dammit Camden!!" I yell and she quickly turns around "will you stop trying to push me away!! Because I'm not going anywhere and if we have a problem then talk to me you stupid bitch!!"  Cammie looks at me shocked.
"Shan I was just-"
"Stop! I want you to want me Goddamn it!"
"You think I don't want you? Why would you think that?"
"Because you keep picking fights. One minute you want to help and the next you don't care"
"Hey!" She says grabbing my face "I will always want you, but I can't touch you without being scared". I kiss her passionately.
"Was that scary?"
"No, just heart breaking. I know you only kiss me now because I'm in pain"
