Chapter 37

Shannon's P.O.V

"Your son?!" Sandie asks shocked
"Well we went to Africa and we sorta fell in love with this little guy. And we didn't have our phones so I could t text you or call you and I told you we where thinking about adoption" cam explains, Roman comes over rubbing his eyes and motions for me to pick him up, I picked him up and he laid his head on my shoulder and began to sleep. Seeing him sleep made me yawn.
"You guys must be tired from your flight" cammies dad said
"Yeah the whole time change thing has us mixed up" I say
"Well come on inside and get some rest" he said letting us in, I walk into the house and sit on the couch with Roman straddled in my arms. Cammie brought two pillows and a blanket from her room and sat next to me on the couch. She looked at sleeping Roman and rubbed his face.
"We need to go shopping for clothes for him" she stated
"Yeah and we all need a shower" I laugh and so does she, Roman woke up really hungry. I made him a sandwich and gave him some water.
"So what's your sons name?" Sandie asks sitting on the couch
"His name is Roman Adonis Beveridge, and he's two" I say back
"Roman did you see the puppy" Sandie says petting Keegan, Roman shakes his head no and goes and sits next to Sandie petting the dog.
"Do you like dogs?" Sandie asked him again and Roman nods "he's not much of a talker huh?"
"We'll ever since his parents passed away he hasn't talked, me and Shan haven't even heard his voice" cammie tells her "I think we're going to give Roman a bath mom is that okay"
"Yeah that's fine" she replies playing with Roman, cammie takes Romans hand and leads him into the bathroom. She helps him take off his cloths while I start the bath, I go into cammies room to see if she has anything in there that could be used as cloths for him but there's nothing. I go back into the bathroom with a towel and some soap, cammie slowly puts Roman into the bath.
"Woah..." Roman says, me and cammie both look at him shocked.
"Did you just say something bud?!" Cam asked
"Woah" he says again and starts cracking up
"You talked" me and cammie both say and hug him.
"Can you say something else?" I ask him
"Shannon" he pointed to me, I stare at him with a huge smile on my face. "Cam" he pointed at cammie. "Mommas!" He laughed.
"That's right buddy we're your mommas!" Cam says in awe. His voice was so cute, you could tell it was a boys voice but it was higher and more adorable.
"I love you so much Roman" I chuckle
"I love you" he points at both of us
"I love you too Roman, but your a really stinky guy right now" cam laughs.

Cammie P.O.V

After we have Roman a bath we wrapped him up in a towel and dried him off. I went into Lees old room to see if he maybe left any old cloths in there and I found an old Budweiser t-shirt and some old boxers. I thought that would be fine so I put them on Roman, the boxers where a little big so we rolled them up and the t-shirt was huge so he didn't wear it.
"We have to go shopping" I tell Shannon as we watch Roman play with Keegan.
"Yeah" she chuckled and went over to play with them. Shannon put Roman on her shoulders and started carrying him around.
"So I guess I'm going shopping" I laugh
"Yep" Shannon said looking at Roman. I get back into the car and start driving to Babies R Us to pick out a few things. I started searching for clothes and toys that Roman might like, I got him a little truck and a foam football. I also got him some jeans, shorts, dress shirts, dress pants, underwear, t-shirts, some tennis shoes, flip flops, little convers, and tank tops. I was shopping for at lest an hour then headed home, Keegan was lying on the floor next to Shannon who was asleep and Roman who was no where in sight.
"Roman!?" I yell "where are you goofball" as I'm walking around the house I hear my dad talking and Roman laughing.
"Yeah and look, this is her when she was really little like you" I hear my dad say, I go toward the laughter and slowly open the door to the study and see Roman and my dad sitting on the floor while my dad shows him old pictures of me.
"Look at how silly she is" my dad laughs
"What are you guys doing?" I ask smiling
"Just showing my grandson some old pictures of you" my dad says, Roman gets up from the floor and hugs me.
"I got you some new clothes" I tell Roman, he looks back at my dad to see if it was okay to go.
"It's okay go, try on some clothes. It's better then wearing some stinky old underwear" my dad reassured. I put Roman into a tank top and some shorts, and some convers and they all fit really well.
"Well look how handsome you are" I tease, he covers his face with his hands and smiles. "Let's go show momma how handsome you are" I grab his hand and take him into the living room where Shannon is sleeping. "Jump on her" I whisper and he does as I say. She moans and Roman laughs.
"What are you doing Roman soldier" Shannon moans
"Momma says I'm handsome" he says
"Really well let me see just how handsome you are" Roman gets off her and starts modeling his new clothes. "Wow Roman you look so good" she complements "good job momma" I go and give her a small kiss, Roman comes over and kisses Shannon's cheek.
"Mm thank you buddy" she says smiling at him.
