Chapter 36

Shannon's P.O.V

"So...we're doing this?" I ask cam excited
"Yeah...Shannon we might be parents!" Cam says with tears in her eyes, I give her a big hug and swing her around, I put her down and kiss her hard.
"Im going to be a mom" I say in complete awe and I see Roman run towards us. He looks at cammie who's crying and hugs her legs, she picked him up.
"Hey Roman how would you feel if we adopted you?" Cam asked, his jaw dropped, he looked so surprised that we just asked him that question. Does he not want to be adopted, I thought to myself but just as I thought that he started smiling really big. He gestured for me to come over so I did and he hugged both me and cammie.
"I'm taking it that's a yes" I chuckle, he looks up and nods and hugs us again. After a while of hugging we went to the orphanage where Roman was supposed to live-but lived with us- and we asked them if it would be okay if we adopted him. Of course they agreed and we had to sign a lot of papers and a bunch of other stuff. We finished the paper work at 10 pm but we were finally parents of Roman Adonis Beveridge. Roman was asleep on cammies lap, he was just curled up in a little ball. Cammie lifted him from her lap and rested his head on her shoulder and we went back to the house. I walk behind cammie looking at Romans sleepy face while she walks, he slowly opened his eyes and smiled at me. I gave him a little wave and he went back to sleep, once we got to the house we laid Roman in his bed and me and cam went to bed.
"Cammie" I whisper "we're parents"
"I know it's crazy, it feels like just yesterday I was FaceTiming you for the first time" cam says
"And now we have a kid" I say beginning to cry a little but before I do I fall asleep.

Cammies P.O.V

Today is the day we leave to go back home, we built 36 houses and some people are staying so there's more to come. People who knew Roman threw him a little party saying goodbye to him and telling him good luck. Ally and Stevie adore him so much it's so funny, no ones ever heard him talk and I'm wondering what he sounds like. I want to hear my Roman soldiers voice, once we arrive to the airport I grab Romans backpack and put it on my shoulder and grab his hand. He's never been on a plane before so I wonder how he's going to respond, ally and Stevie sit behind us like last time and we sit with Roman. He sat on Shannon's lap because she was by the window, as we were taking off he started to freak out a little and grabbed Shannon tight. We took off and he let go of Shannon, his jaw dropped to the floor as he saw his whole world from the sky. He started bouncing up and down and smiling and pointing out the window, me and Shannon just laughed.
"It's cool isn't it?" I tell him and he nods. After bouncing around and getting excited Roman was tired, we pulled out a blanket and a pillow and he slept on Shannon.
We arrived back in America really late at night, Roman was asleep and so was Shannon and ally. I woke up Shannon and Roman and Stevie woke up ally, I carried Roman when we walked out of the plane. We had a lay over so it was going to be a while till we got home, but I had an idea.
"Hey Shannon since we have a lay over do you want to just rent a car and drive up to my parents?" I ask
"Sure, but you drive. Wait we don't have a car seat for Roman." She states
"Shit....um I'll just look for one here"
"Good luck" she says while rubbing Romans sleeping face. I go into every little shop I can find searching for a car seat, Romans only 2 so he really needs one. I finally find one that looks about right for a 2 year old and but it and quickly run back to Shannon and Roman.
"Found one" I say out of breath
"Wow I didn't expect you to" she admits
"So you want to go, my parent will meet Roman..."
"Okay but like I said your driving". We tell ally and Stevie that we're going and they say it's fine and that they'll meet us home.
We walk to enterprise I'm still carrying Roman and we get a small car. We start driving to Pittsburgh, it takes us 3 hours to get there because 2 year olds have a very small bladders. We finally come across my parents neighborhood and search for the house.
"You want to see your grandparents Roman?" Shan asks excited and he nods. We see there house and get out of the car and knock on the door, the didn't know we where coming because we didn't have our phones so this is going to be quite a surprise for them.
"Cammie way are you doing here" my dad said hugging me then Shannon, my mom comes out and hugs both of us.
"Who's this little guy?" My mom says
"Mom dad this is Roman...our son"
