Chapter 18

Shannon's P.O.V

Yesterday was finals and I have no idea how I did. I might have failed, and if I did that means cammie won't be able to move in, and if I didn't then cammie will be moving in. Either way I'm going to freak out, today we go in to finish the rest that we haven't taken yet but I've taken all of them so that means the only reason I will be going in to school today is to see if I passed or not. I start getting dressed putting on the most comfortable thing I can find so hat if I didn't pass then I can just break down and not give a shit. I could feel my phone vibrating in my pocket and I know it's cam asking how I did. I go into the kitchen and eat a bagel and start heading to school. As I walk into the door I can see people all scrunched up next to a bulletin board. "This is it" I say to myself as I walk up to the board. I search for my name but can't find it, I keep searching but still don't see it. "Shit!" I yell. I try moving my way up to the front to see if I can get a better look, and there it is, my name in printed ink. "Shannon Beveridge: 85.3" it reads.
"I PASSED!!" I scream and start running around the school. "I passed I passed I passed!"
"Who gives a monkeys nut princess" someone said
"Fuck you, because I passed! I get to live with my girlfriend, we can be happy together!" I yell, I get back in my car and start driving home knowing that I'm going to be able to graduate. My jaw starts to hurt from smiling so much but I don't even care. When I get home I look at cammies text that she sent me earlier.
"Shan? Are you okay? Did you do good?"
"Baby are you okay? Please text back"
"Shannon I'm here for you" the text read
"Hey cammie I'm back..." I respond
"Really how did you do and I swear to God if you fuck with me I'll kill you" she threatens
"Well...it's not looking great" I lie
"REALLY!?! Why?!?"
"Because it looks like I'm going to be living with a cammie"
"YOU PASSED!!! I told you not to mess with me Shannon I was almost in tears!!!"
"Aww that's so cute. But yeah you get to live with me!!! I'm so excited!! Eek!!"
Me and cammie text for hours which doesn't make any sense since we can just FaceTime or call but we're so caught up in the moment that we can't stop.

****1 week and 2 days later****

It's graduation day and cammie can't come. She's to busy packing, which I understand because packings a bitch. I get in a nice dress, and put on the necklace cammie got me and then put on my gown and drive my way to the school, when I get there I see my whole family sitting in one of the middle rows. I walk over to them, my mom gets up first and gives me a hug.
"Oh Shannon I'm so proud of you" she said hugging me tight "when are we going to be able to meet your girlfriend?"
"Oh well she can't make it because she's packing but I promise when you do meet her you'll love her" I say, I walk over to my dad and give him a hug
"So proud of my girl" he tells me
"Thanks dad" I say then walk over to Casey
"Well I never thought you where very smart but somehow you passed" she joked "I'm kidding I'm really proud of you"
"Thanks Casey, well guys I had better go and get in my spot so I don't completely embarrass myself" I did as I said and meet up with a bunch of my friends. After a while they start playing music and we start walking up and the entire way up I think "Whoever's in the front must feel pressured". As I'm at my seat I can see my family all waving to me and I wave a tiny wave back. But as I'm sitting I can see a blonde girl standing in the very back of the room, she waves, I'm confused and just wave back and she smiles. Well now I'm even more confused, but she reaches into her purse and pulled out something shiny. Once it stops glaring I get a good look at what it was, it was a key. Which means the girl was cammie which means cammie lied which makes her sneaky.

Cammies P.O.V

The whole thing went on for hours, when they called Shannon's name her family screamed which was hilarious and I just yelled a little and clapped. When it was over I searched everywhere for Shannon but couldn't find her, so I decided to just stayed in the spot I was in. I did see one person I recognized though, Vanessa, she was walking around looking confused, her hair was down and not in a beanie like usual.
"Vanessa!" I yelled
"Oh hey cammie! I thought you weren't going to be here" she said
"Well where were you I didn't see you at all" I joked
"Oh yeah I just got here before they called Shans name, lucky me right."
"Yeah. Hey have you seen Shan"
"Oh yeah she's over there with her family she told me to find you so here" she said grabbing my arm "come on". She pulled me through a crowd of people until we got to Shannon. She looked at me and her face lit up, she gave me a tight hug and grabbed my hand.
"Camden Scott, you little liar" she said grabbing my face
"I'm no liar, just sneaky" I say then peck her lips. "So you just going to keep them waiting or are you going to introduce me" I whisper in her ear
"Oh sorry, guys this is cammie"
"Hi nice to meet you all, in person."
"Well cammie I've heard lots about you and I'm happy you make Shannon happy" her mom says shaking my hand, I shake her dads hand and her sisters hand.
"Okay Shannon it's like 8:00 so I'm going home I'll talk to you tomorrow" Casey says
"Okay bye" Shan says
"Us to baby but we are so proud of you and we hope you have a fun time with your girlfriend" Shans parents tell her, she hugs both of them and and they leave. Vanessa left so Shannon asked one of her college friends to take a picture of us together, after she took it we got in the car and started going home.
"So where's your stuff?" Shannon asked me
"In the trunk, you left your car unlocked" I laugh "so when is your dad going to be home"
"Well my dad technically lives with his girlfriend so we will have the house to ourselves most nights"
"That sounds...fantastic" I say
"Yeah I can't wait to get to our house" she said winking at me
"Yeah, the moving truck will be here on Monday so I'm going to have to borrow I few things is that alright?"
"Yeah cam I don't care as long as you live with me" she laughs. Once we got home I put my stuff in our room and got rest for bed, I crawled into the once familiar sheets and closed my eyes. I felt her get into bed and I wrapped my arms around her.
"Mmm, I'm so proud of you Shannon. Your such a smarty" I say into her chest and breath in her perfume.
"Thank you cam, I missed you" she kisses my forehead
"I missed you too" I say going up for a kiss but I yawn.
"Oh baby get some sleep, I forgot about the sleep deprived thing". I just nod and rest my head back on her chest and fall asleep.
