Bee laughs, throwing her head back and her arms crossed across her chest. A smirk crosses Ericas's face. This can't be good. I pray to god to help me one more time. I need some kind of miracle. I back away from the two. Hurry up now I need a miracle. Bee's fist collides on my jaw. Pain shoots through my muzzle and I wince. I try not to scream since screaming will only make the discomfort worse. Erica starts kicking me in the stomach. My legs give off and I fall to the dirty alleyway ground. I try to hold me hands up to protect my face, but Bee forces them down. I'm officially out of faith.

"ENOUGH!" I hear. It is a man's voice. The tone is stern and sharp. But Erica and Bee don't stop. The footsteps come near me. Then they turn into hard pounding. It might just be my head, telling me to speak out and fight back. I wait for the last hit to be taken, but it doesn't come. My glued shut eyes open and I see Erica and Bee struggling against Zach.

"What are you doing Zach?" Bee yells and stomps her feet. "Why are you protecting her? You know she deserves this. She's a slutty little bit-"

"I SAID ENOUGH!" Zach booms. It scares me that he has this ability to be so grim. Both flinch and start to run away. When they are out of sight, Zach turns to me. I bite my lip. What is he going to do? Finish me off?

He extends his hand towards me and I wince back. He frowns. I nervously take his offer and he pulls me up.

"Uh...thank you."

He simply nods. "Your hurt." He places his hand on my damaged cheek. I flush a deep red and slowly push his arm away.

When his hand isn't in contact with my face, he grabs my elbow and starts walking. I grappled under his grip.

"Where are you taking me?" I growl. "I shouldn't trust you." This bullying has toughened me up.

"To my house." Zach calmly answers. I've never seen this side of him before. It's like he decided to wear a facade. Like me.

We get to Zach's house after minutes of continuous walking. We enter and he drags me into his room. He forces me to sit on his bed.

"I'll get the med-pack." He orders. I look around. The same room that I've once entered one point in my life. How I miss that.

Zach immediately comes back with a red box.

"Let's get you cleaned up."

"You feeling better now?" I nod. I'm pretty sure my face is a noticeable red.

"Y-yea," I answer. "B-by t-the way. T-hanks."

"Your welcome." Zach returns. We remain on his bed soundless.

"There's this new amusement park downtown." He starts. "I was wondering if you wanted to -you know- go with me?"

I wrinkled my nose.

"What?" I jab a finger towards myself. "You want to go with this dork?"

Zach laughs. "Yes, yes. I do." Today is filled with surprises.

"Bee? What about her?" I ask. After all, she is his girlfriend. I should be overjoyed, but what if Bee finds out? Will she pummel me? Make my life even worse. Make my friends turn on me? Oh wait, I don't have any....

"Oh..." Zach seemed hesitant. "I-I." He scratches his neck while I patiently wait for an answer.

"I really don't want to talk about it." I nod understandingly. Yet, I'm still quite interested in what had happened. Did they break up? Had a fight? Argument? Disagreement?

"Sure I'll go with you." I agree. I see a sparkle in Zach's eye and he jumps up, scaring me.

"Really?" The glimmer is still there. It's been so long since I've seen it. I nod.

Why is he being so nice to me?
