"Amanda!" Kendall's voice booms, making me jump. I bolt up off my bed and throw open my door. I thought today was going to be awful, but I was wrong.

"Kendall!" I scream and run into his arms. Kendall is my older brother and I absolutely adore him. Even when we were little his was never mean to me. Maybe he knew how sensitive I am.

He hugs me tightly and kisses my forehead. "Oh hi Amy!" He says as we let go of each other. "Amanda!" I playfully slap his chest. He laughs and I smile.

"The college boy decided to pay a visit!" Gwen says entering the room. Her orange hair is tied back in a ponytail, and the freckles dance on her skin in the sunlight.

"Gwen!" Kendall says and walks over to give her a hug. She hugs him and after a moment they let go of each other. "As beautiful as ever."
They gaze into each other's eyes for a moment.

Kendall is only a year older than her, and Gwen is only babysitting until she graduates this year. I'm going to miss her, but Kendall will miss her more. It's so obvious that they like each other. I don't see how they don't notice that they clearly like each other.

Kendall throws his head to the side, flipping his hair perfectly, the way all boys with amazing hair do. Gwen laughs and I can't help but smile. Gwen is seriously the best, and Kendall deserves someone as amazing as her.

"Cookies?" He asks with a smile. "Cookies." She laughs. "Maybe cookies will be your always," I say quietly. They both laugh and Kendall ruffles my hair. I fix it as Gwen and Kendall go to the kitchen.

I wish that this was my life. I wish that Kendall was my dad and Gwen was my mom. I would kill for that life instead of the one I have. I wish I could freeze time. It would be Kendall, Gwen, and I. I know that this happiness won't last. Gwen and Kendall will leave, and I will be left alone with my parents.
