Derik took me to the movies. I didn't really pay much attention to the movie, mainly because we sat in the back and Derik kept kissing me. Derik drove me home and of course I kissed him goodbye.

"Where the hell have you been!?" My mother shouts as I shut the door. She's holding a wine glass in her hand. Oh no. She's drunk.

She slaps me across the face so hard that I fall on the ground. She starts kicking my side. "You stupid bitch!" She yells and pours her wine on me. "You have made my life a living hell! You are the reason why your father left!"

I struggle to get up. Gwen and Kendall aren't home, God I wish they were. She kicks my feet out from under me. "I didn't tell you to get up bitch!" She screams and throws her glass on the floor. She kicks me in the stomach.

I grab her leg and she falls down on her back. Quickly I get up and run to my room. I lock the door behind me. My mother has never beaten me, but I guess things have changed since my father left.
