After another long stressful school week, it's Friday again. If you think about the week, it's like you're living your life on repeat. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, until the day you die. Each day is different, but when you think about it, it's all the same.
Tonight is my date with Derik. Technically it's going to be my first official date. I'm so happy, but I'm also really nervous. I haven't told any of my friends about it, because I don't want them to know.
I don't know where he's taking me, so I don't really know how to dress. After three hours of destroying my room, I decide on a pink lace knee length dress, with black flats. I decide to braid my unmanageable hair, and go with natural colored makeup.
I haven't really seen Derik much since the party. He stopped me in the hall Monday to tell me that he would be picking me up at seven. It's six fifty five, right now. I take a deep breath and look in the mirror. I actually look not terrible.
"Amanda!" Kendall calls. "Come here!" I sigh, but smile as I walk out of my room, and to the living room. Gwen whistles as I walk into the room. "Got a date or something tonight Ama?" Gwen giggles. Kendall slowly reaches behind him and pulls out a baseball bat. "Do you?" He asks. "Because I'll smash his face in!"
Gwen laughs and kisses his cheek. Whoa, that's new. "Leave her alone," Gwen says smiling at them. Kendall drops his bad and kisses her lightly. They notice me staring at them.
"Oh!" Gwen blushes deeply and covers her mouth. Kendall smiles and blushes. He looks up at me. "Amanda," he says. "This is my girlfriend, Gwen Morgen. Isn't she just the prettiest thing?"
"Aw, Kendall," she leans against him. She covers her face with her hands. "Yes baby?" He kisses her head and wraps his arm around her.
"Beep! Beep!" Comes from outside. Derik. "Oh well I've got to go," I say and rush out the door. I climb in the passenger seat of his truck. He whistles. "You look amazing," he smiles at me. "You should be a model."
He's lying.
He doesn't really think that.
Shut up! You are beautiful.
