It was officially our last day! Our flight was at 4 so the lady reception said we can leave our bags in storage while we go out or whatever which was good. Tris pulled me over to one side, saying he needed to talk to me.
'What's up? Is everything okay?'
'Well, erm, no not really'
'Why? What's happened?!'
'Okay, I don't want you to freak out so promise me you won't'
'Okay I promise..' I was getting concerned. 'Don't tell me you went and got some stupid tattoo or something?' I tried to turn it into a joke.
'No! I've just been, well I've just been thinking'
'Thinking? You? Ha, next joke please' I started laughing but Tris didn't seem to find it funny. 'Okay, seriously what's wrong? You're starting to scare me now'
'Okay, here it goes' he took a deep breath in. 'I'm leaving the band' he blurted out.
'YOU'RE WHAT?!'
'I'm leaving, I just don't want to do it anymore'
'What?! But I don't understand! You've been wanting to be in a band since you were a kid, what's happened?! Have you fallen out with one of the guys?'
'No nothing like that! I don't know, I've just been thinking and it's not really for me'
'What? How can you say that?! Seriously now, you better tell me what's up because I'm not buying this. You can't just give up everything you've ever dreamed of just like that!'
'Look Jas, I've made up my mind okay, just please don't tell Brad or anyone yet'
'Oh yeah, I'm really going to announce it to people I don't even talk to anymore' I said, sarcastically.
'I mean it Jas, I'm going to tell them when tour is over'
'So you're going to leave just like that? You'll play the last night of tour and then be like 'okay see ya!' ? It doesn't work like that you know Tris'
'I know what I'm doing okay'
I scoffed. 'Fine, whatever. If you're going to throw everything away just like that then be my guest. Just know I won't be there to pick up the pieces'
I walked off so angry. I can't believe he's just giving up like that! Why is he doing this?! I just don't understand.
