I can't stop myself from smiling

The next morning I woke up with Soph's arm on my face. Who told us it would be a good idea for the 3 of us to share my bed? Wait, where was Taylor? I sat up to see if maybe she decided to sleep on the floor, but no. She wasn't there. I got out of bed and went downstairs, leaving Soph to sleep. I saw Tris and Taylor cleaning up.

'Oh so this is where you are!'

'Morning Jas!'

'Did you even sleep in my room Tay?'

'No I slept in Tris' room because I kept falling off'

'You mean.. you two..'

'No! I slept on the floor and gave her my bed!' Tris yelled.

'Oh phew!' I laughed.

'Anyway, you can't say that about us when you and Harry couldn't keep your hands off each other' he winked.

'What are you talking about?'

It all came back to me. The stranger that kissed me, it was Harry!

'Oh thank god it was Harry, I thought it was Brad!'

'What's this about Brad?' Soph asked as she walked down the stairs.

'Why would it be Brad? He was with Molly the whole night' Tris said.

Molly. Hearing her name sent shivers down my spine. I also remembered her.

'Guys, I need to tell you something. It's about Molly'

'What is it?'

'I know this is going to sound weird but I swear to you I'm telling the truth'

'What truth? Jas, are you okay?'

'It was her that spiked my drink in Mahiki. It was her that came to me in the hospital!'

'Woah. Are you sure?'

'I would never forget her face. Or that 'innocent' act she puts on. I recognised her as soon as I saw her! Now I find out she's Brad's new girlfriend and it makes sense!'

I saw Tris on his phone. 'Tris, what are you doing?'

'I'm calling Brad! You have to tell him to get rid of that nutcase!'

'No, don't! She'll know it's because of me, she'll probably do something worse than just spike my drink, she told me she would..'

'Are you serious?! You can't just sit back and do nothing about it!'

'Tris, please. I don't want to get involved in Brad's life'

...

After we had cleaned up everything and got ready for the day, we decided to go to town and try out this new ice cream parlour. Amazingly, we bumped into James and Harry.

'Hey' I blushed as I hugged him.

Tris coughed.

'Oh, erm, we're going to that new ice cream shop up the road if you guys want to come?'

'Sounds good!' James said.

Me and Harry walked behind everyone else. I didn't know whether to bring up the kiss or not.

'So, where did you stay last night?' I asked.

'Oh I slept at James' house. We were going to come round and help tidy your house up this morning but by the time we got there you guys were already out!'

'Oh, that's okay you didn't need to' I smiled.

'So, erm, Tris told me about Brad's new girlfriend..'

'Please don't start, I don't want to get involved. Who knows what she'll do to me next!'

'What are you talking about?'

'She's the one that spiked my drink? Isn't that what Tris told you?'

'No he just told me that she was there last night? But what?! Why don't you tell the police or something!'

'No I don't want to! I'm just going to leave it, please'

'Hmm. Okay then, if you say so. You're brave, you know that right?' He hugged me.

As we got to the ice cream parlour we saw Brad and Molly sitting outside. Brad was facing us and waved which made Molly turn around to see who it was. Her eyes came straight to me. They started walking over and Harry grabbed my hand.

'Thanks for the erm, party last night Jas' he looked down and saw me and Harry holding hands.

'It's okay' I said, simply.

I was looking at Brad and I could feel Molly just staring at me from the side. I squeezed Harry's hand.

'I'm going to go inside, I'll see you guys in there'

Me and Harry walked in, followed by the others except Tris. Tris stayed there talking to Brad for a bit before joining us.
