Jason's POV

She bit her lip and rocked her foot. Nervous.

"Vi?" I asked through narrowed eyes. She cleared her throat and looked up at me.

"I asked Cameron to drop Me." she mumbled. I stiffened and started walking out. She grabbed my hand and pulled me back.

"He is not a bad guy Jason. I know he made a mistake but he apologized. I know that doesn't make me trust him anyway but it's not like he has some grudge on you. Just leave it ok? You were and you will always be my Bestie. I needed a closure and I got one. I did his bandages and he was only one I knew who could give me ride. I wouldn't have been here if he wasn't there. After all you know I hate taxis at night."

I sighed in defeat and nodded. I don't like him coz... well I don't like him. That's it. Vi was right and me out of all the people must know how it feels to be hated for no reason. It made me feel guilty but it didn't decreased the amount of dislike I had for him.

"If you say so..."

She finally breathed out, relief washing her features.

"You know, you look so adorable while smiling that I feel like sandwiching your cheeks between my lips and palm, kissing the daylight out of them until your lips pout out and you look so scary in anger that I feel like hugging and squeezing all of it out of you."

"Then why you don't do it eh?"

"Well angry Jason scares me."

"You should never be scared of me."

"I know."

"Promise me you will do it next time."

"If I promise then you will have to promise that you will calm down."

"Promise."

"Promise." She mumbled and a silence fell between us.

"Smile now. Will you?" I asked her. She shook her head, hopping down the counter and walked past me. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and followed her in room. She picked a pen from my study and came to me with a blank expression.

"Give me your hand."

"Why?"

"Just give already!" She whined. I offered my right hand. She drew a smile face on it and then pressed her palm on mine. When she removed her hand, it had the impression of smile face. She positioned both our palms beside each other and looked at me.

"You smile. I smile. So make me smile baby?" I smiled involuntarily. My heart swelled at the sweet gesture. She smiled back immediately and hugged me. I hugged back.

We both cleaned the mess of vase before heading out. Mom beamed as she saw me smiling and dad smirked. I explained the bandages to her as she panicked. Mom told us that the food was in microwave and we both needed to heat and eat it. Both of them already had dinner as they apparently knew that things will get better when Vi stepped in.

Mom-dad left us alone and went straight to their respective bedrooms. Dad, Xav and Tia were to go back home tomorrow as Erin (Jeremy's second wife and Tia-Xav's mom) called. She said that her relatives were coming from Far East and wanted to meet them.

I heated the food and Vi managed the cutlery. We served in one plate to avoid dishes.

I was so happy that Vi and I were back to normal again. Vi couldn't eat with a bandaged hand, so I fed her like a child. I quite enjoyed it. Well I enjoyed it a lot. Wiping the extra food from her chin and lips. Then removing her hair from her cheeks. Everything seemed natural.
