Jason's POV
"Vi get up. We are here." I shook Violet lightly. She stirred in her sleep but ended up nuzzling closer to me. I chuckled lightly.
To say we were tired after yesterday would be an understatement. We were exhausted and that's the reason why the three of us- Cedric, Violet and I spent the whole flight sleeping.
"Just 5 more minutes." I rolled my eyes but still cracked, laughing. This time she got up and loosened her death grip on me. She rubbed her eyes and yawned. "Hai hai hu hahin."
I gave her a blank expression as I didn't understand a thing. How am I supposed to when she will speak while yawning? But it was adorable nevertheless. She rolled her eyes while trying to fix her hair.
"I said. Why are you laughing?"
Oo.
"Nothing." She gave me a pointed glare but dropped the matter. "Are we there yet?"
I looked at her in disbelief.
"Of course we are here! What do you think I am waking you up for since like forever?"
"I thought you were just missing my company or something." She retorted playfully.
Ok I did missed it.
"Oh my god! You did." She pointed her index finger towards me and laughed at my expression.
Am I that obvious?
"Shut up and come on now!" I muttered. She bit her lip to avoid laughing and nodded.
The ride home was fun. Cedric was actually bonding with her now. We were showing her around Stratford while Cedric was driving us home.
"See" Cedric pointed towards a park. "That's where we used to play."
Vi smiled at this and looked at me for conformation. I just nodded my head with a sincere smile.
When we drove near Ford Street, all three of us spoke at the same time- "And this is where it all started."
At first a look of shock masked our faces as we spoke exact same thing at same time but then we burst into laughing. Cedric smiled and pulled over near there. I was feeling shy and proud at the same time to bring Violet here. She had this huge grin on her face the whole time. I noticed a few paparazzi and commoners around too but gave them a blind eye.
When we reached the corner, she slid down to where I used to sit and looked around in amazement. Her eyes caught the star with my name on the pedestal and a proud grin took over her face. She scanned it with her hands and then looked at me with so many emotions that sent my heart into overdrive. All I managed to do was smile at her. Cedric came to us and handed me my guitar. I looked at him with confusion and he pointed around him to the local crowd with their phones on. I sighed and smiled.
Welcome back home.
Violet got up and made space for me as I slid down where I laid first stepping stone of my success. I began strumming my guitar chords while the case remained open on my side, just the way it used to be. Crowd was cheering for me. It felt good that not everyone in the world was against me. After a good 30 minutes show, I bid adieu to the people and we drove off home. Cedric dropped the two of us and then left. We planned a get together for my friends here, later tonight.
Violet and I were greeted by Xav and Tia on the door. Dad came out too and welcomed us. Violet was nervous and shy first but the way Xav was happy to see her made her less jumpy. Tia on the other hand had a blind eye for her.
