My Next Door Neighbor is WHO?!

LET'S JUST HANG OUT

Brief Summary: Last time, Aurora had some new neighbors. Known as a shy, geeky girl she is forced to go say hi to the new neighbors. Soon finding out that there is a young boy the same age as her named Toby she gets nervous. Toby asks to hang out with her and now this will be the continuation of 'My Next Door Neighbor is WHO?!' Enjoy.

Chapter 2:

There Toby stood in my doorway with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes.

"Come in!" my mom enthusiastically said.

"Always a pleasure to have a guest over" my dad said in agreement.

"Well I'm glad you said I was allowed to. Aurora got so ner-" I elbowed him in the side.

"I made some PB&J sandwiches for you kids in the kitchen. You can take them upstairs" my mom said, smiling.

"Awesome, thanks!" Toby replied.

My mom had me give Toby a brief house tour and then we went up to my room. Of course I thought it was awkward, how could it not be?! Luckily, my room wasn't some really girly color like pink. It was light orange.

"Cool room! Orange is a nice color!" Toby said.

"Thanks, my dad painted it for me" I said, awkwardly.

I didn't know why I was so awkward around him. I didn't know if it was because I didn't know him that well or because he was a boy. All I knew was that he was a human being too just, different in the general sense of boy/girl anatomy.

"Woah, cool you have a Gameboy!" Toby exclaimed.

"I don't play it much. I don't have a lot of games" I told him.

"I have a whole bunch, we should compete sometime!" Toby was practically shouting this for the whole world to hear.

"Sure!"

For once, that moment felt normal, like he was a long time friend that I knew since birth. Toby had a special quality that made it hard not to like him. It wasn't until that night I realized something about him.
