Together Again

Chapter 15:

Toby and I were back together again. I had missed him and we started to do everything together again. It was Monday but I wasn't going. Since my dad was home and we didn't move, I started sleeping in my own room again. It was odd to sleep in my own room with no one since I had gotten accustomed to sleeping with Toby. The first night I slept in my own bed for the first time again, I couldn't sleep. I just laid there, staring at the ceiling. I didn't know why I had become so dependent with Toby. Everyday, Toby and I would hang out. We would do what we wanted whether it was walking, eating, playing games, drawing, and sometimes, just sitting there enjoying each other's time together. It was pure love. We needed each other. I know I keep saying that but, it is true. Today, it was the same. Toby came over to my house. I opened the door.

"Hi" he smiled.

"Hi" I smiled and hugged him.

After we hugged, Toby came inside. He had his backpack for school. I didn't know why.

"We're not going to school today, remember?" I asked him.

"Oh wait, yeah!" he exclaimed.

"Haha, it's OK!" I smiled.

"So, what are we doing today?"

"We're going to SeaWorld!"

"Awesome!"

"Haha silly!" I laughed and tussled his hair. He smiled back at me before setting his backpack down on the floor.

"I'm surprised you forgot!" I told Toby.

"Yeah, sometimes things just slip my mind" he said.

Oh, silly Toby. You couldn't get frustrated with him though. His eyes just melted into your soul telling you to forgive him. I couldn't imagine what his mom felt when she had to say no to him. It didn't help that I saw baby pictures of him. He was so adorable as a child. His hair had brown, curly strands like now and he had big, brown eyes that turned hazel later in life. He was so cute! His little feet were so adorable and his hands were so small and child-like. I was ready to go to SeaWorld when Toby was.

"You ready?" I called to him.

"Yep! Let's go!" he said back.

So, my dad took us to SeaWorld, dropped us off, and said he would be back in a couple hours to pick us up. Toby and I got our tickets and entered the amazing world of SeaWorld. There were whales, sea otters, seals, fish, dolphins, and sharks. Of course, they had a lot more like sting rays but it was SeaWorld, so they had everything.

"Hey, I have to go to the bathroom real quick" Toby said.

I looked at him with this "really?" face because why didn't he go before we left. He left anyways and I waited for him but, of course it only takes guys like 5 seconds to go to the bathroom while the girls bathroom line is outside of the door. He came out of the bathroom, looked at me, and smiled while he walked towards me. I waved to him and he waved back. He got up to me, put his arm around my waist and we walked towards the shark tank. Toby looked down at me.

"So, why did we come here today?" Toby asked me.

I looked at him and smirked. "The school gave us a free day off to make up for everything that happened to us in their care."

Toby quickly looked back up. "Oh, alright."

"Why?"

"No reason, I was just asking."

"Oh, OK."

Toby and I looked at the sharks for a while until we went to a show with dolphins. My dad was going to be picking us up in about 2 hours so I wanted us to do as much as we could together. The dolphin show was really good. It was spectacular! After the dolphin show, Toby and I looked around at the multiple tanks and at 12:30, my dad picked us up. We drove to Olive Garden to eat out. My dad had made reservations for us at 1:00. The hostess showed us our table and we sat down. Toby pulled out my chair and I sat down then, my dad and Toby sat down. We all looked at each other and smiled. We looked at the menus, ordered our drinks, and waited for the waitress to come back with our drinks so we could order.
