Chapter 28:

Ali and PJ had been married for a year already and they had a great first year of marriage. They bought a home together and got their jobs settled. They visited us a lot because we only lived a couple of miles from them. Work for Toby was steady as always and my work was steady as well.

I work at a medical institute for troubled children. It's a pretty good job if you like that kind of thing. Toby's fan base grows everyday and I grow prouder and prouder each day.

-phone ringing-

"Hello?," I said.

"Hi!,"

"Ali?," I asked. "What's wrong?,"

"Nothing, I just wanted to let you know that..," she paused. "I'm pregnant!,"

"Oh my god! Congratulations! That's wonderful, amazing, I, I can't believe it!," I said, ecstatic. "Let me get Toby!"

"Alright!"

I went downstairs and got Toby.

"Honey, come here and grab the phone!" I said to Toby.

He got up and grabbed my cell phone.

"Hello?," Toby said.

"Hey dad, it's Ali!," she said.

"Hi honey, what's up?,"

"I'm pregnant!," I could hear her voice.

"Congrats! That's awesome!" Toby said.

They talked about some other things and then Toby hung up.

"They're going to come over around noon" Toby said.

"OK, sounds good!" I said, smiling.

I walked over to Toby and kissed him. Toby grabbed me around the waist and kissed the top of my head.

"We're going to have a grandson or granddaughter soon" Toby said quietly.

"I know!" I looked up at Toby and smiled.

At precisely noon PJ and Ali were at our house. I opened the door.

"Hi, dear!," I hugged Ali.

"Hi mom!," she said and smiled at me.

"How are you?," I asked.

"Good, I found out today that I was pregnant," she smiled.

"That's great," I said. "I'm so happy for you. Pregnancy can be a great thing"

"Yes, I'm excited to be able to find out the gender of the baby," she said. "I just can't believe it."

Ali sat down at the kitchen table while I got coffee.

"What do you think the baby will be?," she asked me.

"I don't know, it's hard to tell this early on," I said, unsure. "Usually you can tell what gender it is by the size of your belly, but it's not always accurate. I'm thinking maybe a girl," I said.

"That's true and I'll keep that in mind. It doesn't matter if the baby is a boy or a girl, I'd be happy with both,"

"I'm guessing you guys thought of or are thinking of names?,"

"I don't know, we talked about names for some time but we can never decide on anything,"

"Well, what names do you like?," I asked.

"If it's a girl, I really like the name Aerona Faith Turner. If it's a boy, I like the name Leon Alex Turner,"

"Oh, those are beautiful names!," I said.

"Yeah, I especially love the name Aerona. I don't know why, but it's one of my favorite names and it's unique."

"They're both unique in their own way."

-7:00 p.m.-

PJ and Ali left. Toby and I decided to sit down and watch television. Also, since the kids left home, Toby and I got a dog. His name is Gryphon. He's a Shih-Tzu. Toby uses him a lot in videos and he even has a voice for him when Toby is narrating.

Toby, Gryphon, and I fell asleep around 10 p.m.

-5 months later-

-phone ringing-

"Hi Ali," I said. "How's it going?"

"Great, want to know the gender?," she said.

"Of course, let me get Toby," I grabbed Toby and put the phone on speaker.

"The baby is a...girl" she paused.

Toby and I screamed in excitement.
