Brief Summary: Last time, Aurora was slowly figuring out some stuff about Toby and the way he acts. She had a hard time sleeping but eventually did. Aurora wakes up in the morning to the sound of her mom's voice. She goes downstairs for breakfast, goes upstairs and gets ready. She hears a knock on the door that will change her morning. Now, for the further continuation of 'My Next Door Neighbor is WHO?!'.

Chapter 4:

My mom yelled for me to come downstairs. Luckily, I was already ready for school. I had Toby's sweatshirt in my hand, ready to give it to him at school. I went downstairs.

"Hey Aurora!" I heard someone say.

I finished coming down the steps and saw Toby sitting on the couch eating a late breakfast. What was he doing here? I thought that we were supposed to meet up right outside the school.

"Hi, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I didn't have a ride to school because my mom works early and my dad does too. But guess what, now I can ride to school with you every morning!" he said.

"That's cool" I put on a fake smile. "Why don't you just live here then?" I was thinking to myself.

"Yeah, it's going to be great!" he enthusiastically said.

It was hard not to be mad at him. Especially with a mouth full of braces.

"So...when are you getting your braces off?" I asked.

"In about 4 months."

Just then my mom walked in.

"Are you guys ready to go?" my mom asked.

"Yeah, I am!" Toby said.

"Yep, I have been for 10 minutes" I told my mom.

"Alright, let's go!"

We followed my mom outside and to the car. Toby sat beside me in the back seat. It took about five minutes to get to school. When we did, I could tell Toby was really excited. He opened the car door and I followed him.

"So, where do we go?" Toby asked.

"We're supposed to go to the 9th grade office."

"Alright, let's go then!" Toby's smile was so big he looked animated.

I walked to the office and Toby followed me. I opened the door to the office and the nice ladies greeted us.

"What can I do for you?" one of the ladies asked.

"I'm here to get my schedule" Toby said.

"OK, what is your name?"

"Toby Joe Turner" Toby said happily.

"Oh, it's right here. There you go sweetie!" the lady handed the schedule to Toby in an envelope.

Toby opened the schedule and we went to my locker.

"What classes do you have?" he asked.

I handed him my schedule and he compared his to mine. It turns out we had Math, English, lunch, and German together. Four classes out of seven. I hope he finds some friends to sit with at lunch because I'll be sitting with some friends from middle school.

English Class:

English class was third period for me and Toby of course. Since it was the first day the whole class had to introduce themselves and say three interesting facts about ourselves. When it got to Toby he said, "My name is Toby Turner, I like girls, I'm new here, and you can call me Tobuscus!". The class and teacher laughed. He was so weird, I didn't get him but he was interesting to me. He had a certain presence around people that made you like him. So far I enjoyed my classes and I was hoping Toby was too.

Math Class:

I was getting hungry around this time but luckily lunch was next. Math was the same as English and Toby said the same thing. Of course, we had papers that the students and parents had to sign.

Lunch:

When Math class was over I walked to my locker. I was getting my books and binders for the classes after lunch. When I stood up and turned around Toby was there.

"OH MY JAM! You scared me!" I screamed.

"Jam?" Toby was laughing now.

God, his laugh made you smile. What am I talking about? I'm going crazy, I can't like Toby!

"Yes, you scared me!" I pushed him playfully.

"Hahaha, sorry!" Toby said jokingly.

"Well, what's up?"

"I wanted to ask if I could sit with you at lunch today?"

For some reason I knew this would happen. I had to decide on social suicide with a new neighbor I had or let him sit with me.

"Um, I..." I hesitated.

I wanted to say, "no" because I hang out with all girls and we talk about guys but I didn't want to let him down. His eyes were begging for me to say yes. His smile full of braces wanted me to say yes.

"Sure. Why not?" I agreed.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Toby hugged me.

I could tell he really wanted to be friends with me or that he just didn't make any friends yet. Then, we walked to Toby's locker. It was just down the hall from my locker. He already had pictures of people, I'm assuming family, in his locker. I didn't want to ask any questions because I was starving. Toby was one of those people that could talk for hours and hours about random topics. After we went to his locker we went to the cafeteria. Toby followed a few footsteps behind me. I walked in and headed over to my table. Toby was still following me.

"Hey girl!" my friend Kathryn said.

"Hey! How was your summer?" I asked her.

"Oh, it was wonderful! How was yours?"

"Great! I also got a new neighbor."

Toby was already smiling. They looked at him. My friend's names were Kathryn, Julie, Angie, and Amanda.

"Hi!" Toby said, excited.

They all said "Hi" to him. I was actually surprised that they liked him. Well, I hoped they liked him. When Toby when to put his tray up my friend Julie said something.

"Aurora, he is so adorable! Do you like him? If you don't, I'll date him!" Julie asked.

"Are you kidding? How could I like him? He's my neighbor!"

"Aurora, he's totally cute! If you don't like him then I'm taking him" Julie said.

"Good luck with that!" I said.

Toby was just returning back to the table.

"So, what did you ladies talk about?" Toby asked.

We all looked at each other.

"Um, we talked about makeup. Right guys?" I said, hiding the fact that we were talking about him.

"Yeah, we did!" they all agreed.

After lunch was over we had German and that was good. I had one more period after German. The last bell rang and I went to my locker. I was putting my binders back in my locker when I heard Toby behind me.

"AURORA, AURORA, AURORA!" Toby sounded so excited.

"Yes?" I asked.

"I got a note! Julie asked me if I wanted to go out with her!"

"Well, are you going to?"

"I'm not sure yet, I don't really know her."

"Well, you could give it some time to get to know her better."

"I think you're right!" Toby agreed.

Toby and I walked out of the school and waited for my mom to pick us up. Little did I know, someone was watching us.
