Chapter 27:

As time went by, Ali came over more frequently. Instead of coming over once a week, she came over practically every day. I didn't mind, and Toby didn't mind. Even Ali's parents didn't mind. I could see a complete difference in PJ. He would smile every time I asked him how school was. They were so happy together. I loved seeing them together. It reminded me of Toby and I's high school years. Being young and in love was a wonderful thing, even though Toby broke my heart and I broke his a couple of times.

-10 years later-

PJ is 24. I'm 46 and Toby's 47. Do you want to know what day it is?

"How's my hair look?,"

"Fine, it looks beautiful, you look beautiful" I said.

"Thanks!" Ali said.

Marriage. PJ and Ali's relationship lasted. They didn't break up once through the rest of middle school and into high school.

It's June. PJ and Ali are Summer lovers so they agreed on a wedding in Summer. I was so excited to see PJ so happy. Toby was beaming with happiness. Every time I looked at him he was smiling. I walked up to him.

"Hi" I said.

"Hi, I can't believe he's getting married" Toby said.

I nodded. Toby grabbed me closer and I rested my head on his shoulder. I have so many emotions running through my head. Happy and anxious. The wedding was to start at 1 p.m. and go until midnight.

-1:00 p.m.-

It's a beautiful day for the wedding. The wedding is in a garden with butterflies. Then, I see Ali walking down the aisle with her dad. I daydream of my wedding and how Toby's mom and dad walked me down the aisle. When Ali walked past me, I waved, she waved back, and smiled. She was beautiful. Her hair was beautifully curly and her eyes were ice blue. PJ, of course, looked handsome in his tuxedo. His hair was still brown and his eyes were brown as well. You could tell he was Toby's son. They both had curly hair and they had the same nose. Also, PJ had sideburns, just like the kind that made me fall in love with Toby. Then, the wedding vows were read.

"Ali, we've been through everything together and it still surprises me to this day that you somehow dealt with me. I want to be with you forever and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I want to imagine you with me until we depart with death. Knowing that soon, we will be together in heaven when we are old. Never change who you are because what you are now is the other half that I've been searching. I love you" PJ said.

I got teary-eyed.

"Peter, PJ, Peter John, no matter what people call you, I will always love you. I knew that since 7th grade we had something special. Going from "crush" to now, my husband, is just unimaginable. You are my soul mate and I don't know what I would do without your trustful insight and advice. You've helped me through some serious situations in my life and I want to thank you for all of that. I love you" Ali said.

The rings were put on.

"You may now kiss the bride!" the pastor said.

They kissed and everyone clapped. I blotted away my tears of happiness on my Kleenex. I stood up and cuddled close to Toby. He kissed me on the top of my head. I looked up at him and kissed him. He smiled, threw his head back, and laughed. I laughed along with him. Then, PJ and Ali pulled us into the pictures they were getting.

-Reception-

The reception hall was gorgeous. It was decorated exactly to the theme of the wedding. The cake was magnificent and the food was delicious. The cake was chocolate with peanut butter icing and the other kind was vanilla with buttercream icing. I got the chocolate with peanut butter icing. It was yummy. The DJ played good and recent music. I was impressed. Toby was dancing a lot. He still danced like a silly fool. It made me laugh. Then, a slow song came on. I grabbed Toby and we danced, my head on his chest. Ali and PJ were beside us, also dancing. Two generations of young love. Ali's family was sweet. Her family was small, while PJ's family was huge, of course. Toby has so many relatives it's ridiculous. Anyways, the wedding was wonderful. I hugged PJ and Ali and at ten p.m. because Toby was getting tired. I was getting tired too and wanted to rest my feet. Toby and I got home, got in our pajamas, and watched television. We fell asleep on the couch together like we had done many times before.

PJ was happy, Ali was happy, Toby was happy, and I was happy.

Only one surprise could be left for the Turner family.
