Chapter 3:

I got dressed in my pajamas, hopped into bed and felt something. There was something soft. I looked under my bed sheets and saw that Toby left his sweatshirt here. It said, "Tobuscus". What the heck is "Tobuscus?". I figured I would ask Toby about it tomorrow and give it back to him. It was blue and really soft, so I put it on. It was so comfortable and warm. I tried to go to sleep but couldn't. Something was bugging me about Toby. He would get nervous when he was around me. I needed sleep because I had school tomorrow. Also, I knew that for some reason Toby would be around me a lot tomorrow because it was a new school for him. I had a hard time sleeping because thoughts about Toby was cluttering my mind. I eventually fell asleep.

The next morning:

"Aurora!" I heard a voice yelling.

I slowly opened my eyes and realized it was my mom calling me down for dinner. To ensure that I got a proper head start to my morning, my mom would make a fresh breakfast. It smelled like French toast and eggs.

"Coming!" I yelled back down to make sure my mom knew I was awake.

I descended downstairs and my mom greeted me with a kiss on the head.

"How did you sleep sweetheart?" my mom asked.

"Fine" I replied, obviously lying considering I was thinking about Toby the whole night.

"That's good. Are you ready for your first day of school?"

"Yeah, I think I am."

"Now remember, you have to help Toby out because he's new and he's not going to know where he is going."

"Alright" I said.

"Also, you have to go to the 9th grade office in the morning and get his schedule because it wasn't mailed to him since he moved so close to the start of school."

"Okay, that's fine."

The only reason my mom knew I would be OK showing Toby around was because there was a day when 9th graders could visit the school and find their classes. Now that I was more awake I went back upstairs, brushed my teeth and hair and got dressed. I had an extra ten minutes to spare when I heard the knock on the door I could never forget.
