Chapter 19:

Since Toby and I got engaged, my dad came to California. He sold the house and moved into a little house just down the street from Toby. I helped pay for the house as well. I had a job working at YouTube Space in Los Angeles. It was great working there. The people were amazing and I saw YouTubers all day. Toby was gaining some amazing recognition on YouTube and was getting paid. He vlogged and played games. He did literals of movie and game trailers. Overall, life was perfect. After work I was going to go to Kathryn's house. It turns out she moved to LA as well and only lived about a half mile away from where I lived. We were going to do some planning for my wedding. The wedding was to be in December. It was on the 3rd, 4 months before Toby's birthday.

At Kathryn's house:

I knocked on the door and it opened.

"Hey," Kathryn hugged me.

"Hey," I said, smiling.

"Long time, no see! How have you been?,"

"Great!," I said. "How are you?,"

"I'm splendid," she smiled. "Shall we start planning?,"

"For sure!"

I followed her into a little computer room and sat down in an s-shaped chair. Kathryn sat down in a bean bag chair right beside me. We started planning everything for the wedding, and in about two and a half hours we finished for today. She looked at me.

"So, you like me as a friend?," she asked me.

"Yes, of course," I said. "That's why you're my maid of honor,"

"Good" she said with a smile on her face.

I just looked at her. Why would she ask that question? That was kind of weird to ask. Out of the corner of my eye I saw her come towards me.

"Turn towards me" she said.

I turned and she kissed me!

"WHAT THE HELL?!," I yelled.

"What?!," she said.

"I don't like you like that!," I lowered my voice, but it was still stern. "I'm getting married!,"

"Oh, so now you're saying that you don't support gay, lesbian, or any other same sex marriage!," she started yelling at me.

"I didn't say anything like that!," I started raising my voice at her. "I'm just not wanting to be in a relationship like that. I support it all of the way, it's just, I don't like other girls. Just, don't try to make a move on me," she looked at me in disbelief.

"Fine, whatever," she mumbled.

"Good" I said.

I got up and started looking at some of the pictures in the room. I saw her out of the corner of my eye staring at me. I didn't look back, I just continued looking at the pictures. They were of friends and family. I found a picture of me and her in the hospital when I got stabbed. I rubbed my scar.

"I liked you ever since middle school," she said.

I turned to her. "I didn't know that,"

"Yeah, but, I never told you because I knew that you liked boys. I was so stupid to try and kiss you. I'm sorry" she apologized.

"It's fine. I'm sure you'll find the girl out there that's right for you" I said.

Now I felt bad because I yelled at her. She really was one of my best friends.
