Charlie followed Jacob as he walked out.
"Jacob don't do this. You walk away now and she really will never forgive you" he said.
"She wouldn't now anyway, I've blown it. You don't know what I said to her" Jacob said.
"That doesn't matter, but if you love that baby and care about her in anyway you'll go back in there and apologise then you don't take no for an answer. Understand me?" Charlie said sternly.
"Yeah, thanks Charlie" Jacob said before walking back to HDC.
Connie was still curled up crying as he approached the bed and placed his hand on her shoulder.
She looked up at him and he smiled down at her sadly, "budge up?" he said softly.

She nodded and moved over to allow him to sit down on the bed.
He wrapped his arm around her and rested his hand on her stomach as she cuddled into him.
"I'm so so sorry Connie. I never meant to hurt you, and I meant it when I said there's no one I would rather have as the mother of my child" he said softly.
"It's ok, you're right, I shouldn't of gone. I need to put our baby first, and I promise I will do from now on" Connie told him.
"I know" he replied.
"But on the note of our baby, does everyone know?" Connie asked.
"Only Zoe knows you're pregnant, and she made a point of saying I wasn't the father so I don't think so. Do you want me to have a word and make sure she doesn't tell anyone?" Jacob said.

Connie looked down at his hand on her stomach, "yes, as long as you let me have a look at your hand, come on, cubicals now" she said.
"Con it's fine" he told her.
"I'm not taking no for an answer, cubicals now Jacob. And please don't go round punching anymore walls, or anything for that matter" Connie said.
"Alright, as long as you're feeling ok" Jacob said.
"I am" she told him as she moved off the bed.
He got off the bed then followed her through to cubicals whilst she grabbed a trolley on the way.
He sat down on the bed then she stood inbetween his legs and lifted his hand up.

"I don't think anything is broken, just some cuts and bruises. I'll dress it for you" Connie told him as she took some saline and began to clean his hand gently.
He looked up at her intently as she wrapped a bandage around his hand then tapped it up.
"All do..." She said but trailed off as he stood up closer to her.
He dipped his head and she lent up but they jumped apart when the curtain was pulled back.
"Hey babe!" Layla grinned at him.
Connie instantly turned away and began sorting out the equipment she had used.

"Hey, what you doing here?" Jacob asked.
"I thought I'd pick you up from work, Zoe told me where you were. What's happened to your hand? Layla replied.
"Nothing important. I'll just go and change out of my uniform, see you tomorrow Connie" he said.
"Night" Connie mumbled as he walked out with Layla.
She sat down on the bed with sigh as Grace ran in followed by Zoe "mummy! You're ok!" she grinned.
Connie forced a smile and opened her arms to her, "yes sweetheart, me and the baby are ok. Err Zoe can you not mention anything to anyone about me being pregnant? I'd really appreciate it" she said.
"Yeah that's fine, and congratulations" Zoe said.
"Thank you, now come on Grace, let's go home" Connie said.
