Chapter 22.

SATURDAY 3rd APRIL.

Finally, everythings prepared I can get ready.

We have decided to get ready at mine so I'm going to get Jamie on my way back.

He comes out immediately with his outfit for tonight and his stuff for staying.

"How are you?" I ask him

"Good, been busy today though. How are you?"

"I'm fine but stressed" An awful lot of planning has gone it to this.

"Don't worry it will be perfect"

We arrive at home and I have to leave for the hairdressers.

"I'm going to the hairdressers, see you soon"

"Bye babe"

I arrive at the hairdressers and we decide on how I'll be having my hair and make up.

It's 5:30pm by the time I leave but all I have to do is get ready.

I come back and James sat on his laptop.

"You look gorgeous" He says turning to me.

"Thank you baby"

I begin to walk upstairs and Jamie follows me, he puts is suit on and I put my outift on. I decide on wearing my Chanel Boy bag.
The party is formal so I'm expecting alot of suits and dresses tonight.

"Are you ready Jamie?"

"Course, let me just call my sister back"

"Alright"
I walk into the kitchen and scroll through Instagram on my phone until I feel Jamie come up behind me and grab my waist. I turn around and he kisses my head whilst me stand hugging.

"Are you happy?" He asks me curiously and I'm slightly shocked.

"Very babe, are you?"

"Yes very" he says smiling from ear to ear.

"Good, let's go"

We set of with Nick in the car, Jamie and Nick instantly hit it off and it makes me so happy. I know Nick was a little hesitant but he always is.

We arrive and my mum greets Nick and then moves onto Jamie and I.

"Hi honey, how are you? How was Paris!" She says and then her eyes move to Jamie and she begins to stare, mother stop it oh how embarrassing.

"Lovely mum, it was perfect"

"And you must be Jamie, how lovely to meet you" She says to Jamie completely ignoring my reply.

"The pleasures mine Katherine, I can see where Penny gets her beauty from..." He says kissing both her cheeks.
Of course he'd say that the charmer.

"When's dad arriving?"

"Around ten minutes darling" she replies.

"Good, we have his presents. Jamie got him a present whilst in Paris!"

"Oh Jamie, you didn't have to do that!! Thank you that was very kind of you"

"Don't worry about it" Jamie says smiling.

I go and greet the guests and introduce Jamie and they all seem happy for us.

My dad comes in and is so shocked by the party, he begins to cry slightly which sets me off too.

"Happy Birthday daddy, I love you" I say to him and he hugs me tightly.

"Happy Birthday dad, love you" Nick says to him and hugs him.

"And you're Jamie" my dad says to Jamie and I can already tell he's nervous.

"I am, it's a pleasure to meet you Sir. Happy birthday" he says shaking his hand.

"Thank you, I hope your taking care of my princess and please call me Carl"
He's happy and I see Jamies body relax.

"That's my intention Carl, she's in capable hands" He says smiling at me.
"I'm glad to hear it, she's special. So what do you do?"

"Okay dad that's enough. Here's your presents" I say as I narrow my eyes at him.

"I'm just doing a background check. Thank you P"

"This is of Nick and I" I say to him as Nick hands the bag to him.

"I love it thank you to both of you!!"

Nick hands him his present of him as do I and he looks so happy.

"And I do believe this is for you" Jamie says handing him his present and we both laugh because we know he will be over joyed at the fact he has two new coats.

"Jamie you didn't have too!! Thank you so much" Dad replies hugging Jamie, this makes me so happy and it shocks me as he's never the affectionate especially to a boyfriend. Oh my.

"It's my pleasure"

My mum runs over and demands us to all get in a picture and we do. It's a lovely picture. We all look genuinely happy.

"He seems to like you" I say to Jamie whilst winking at him.

We end up dancing all night and both Jamie and I drink a little too much...

We get a taxi home and I suddenly feel like everything's going the right way and I'm alot more comfortable knowing my family love Jamie.
