As soon as we walked in Club Aria, I was struck with awe. The building featured the same white interiors as inside the R.O.N.A. building, but there was also black and dark grey that had pipes of blue Tamine streaming through. To my immediate right was the end corner of a bar section and seating. Straight ahead was a white illuminated dance floor. Just right of the dance floor, a white column stood, with a circular bar table around it, with space in between for servers. Off to the left were several booths and tables.
Our group checked in at the front desk and then rounded the corner, and I found that there were even more tables past the circular bar. Rexan led Talon, Aris, and me, me at the back, to a table in the far right corner, apparently their favorite spot.
Aris stopped abruptly, causing me to bump into her. “Aris, what are you doing?” I whispered. But then Aris stepped aside and I saw what had stopped her; Tyzon was already sitting at the table. My heart clenched with fear, but I was also annoyed at Aris for setting me up.
“Hey brother. Aris and Sephora decided to tag along.”
At the sound of their names, Tyzon looked up and his eyes met mine. He looked slightly surprised to see me there. I held his gaze for a moment, but then I felt embarrassed and quickly looked away. The situation felt awkward; I could feel a slight tension between us.
“Why don’t you have a seat?” Rexan said motioning to the booth. Aris gently pushed me forward and I looked back confused.
Go on, Aris mouthed. I reluctantly slid into the seat opposite of Tyzon, while averting his eyes. Aris then slid in next to me and Rexan sat next to his brother.
“Talon?” Rexan asked curiously.
“I have some business to attend to. Excuse me,” he said with a slight nod. With that he left, disappearing into the crowd.
“He always acts so businesslike,” Rexan commented shaking his head, “He needs to lighten up a bit, my brother here too.” He elbowed his brother but he didn’t respond. Tyzon was sitting in the corner with his arms crossed in a relaxed manner.
Several seconds of uncomfortable silence followed before Rexan finally broke it. “So, how do you girls like it here so far?”
“It’s great!” Aris exclaimed. Rexan and her dove into conversation while I started twiddling my fingers nervously. I found myself wondering what Tyzon thought of me now, since I had treated him so horribly.
“Hey this is my favorite song!” Rexan said, finishing their conversation, “Do you want to dance Aris?”
“Sure,” she answered with a smile. The two of them got up and walked over to the dance floor, leaving Tyzon and I with an unpleasant quietness once again.
Tyzon cleared his throat. “I… I wanted to-“
“Tyzon!” a girly voice cut in. I turned to see a beautiful member of R.O.N.A. standing at the end of the booth.
The girl had very long brown hair that was pulled halfway back. Her blue eyes stood out in what seemed to be a perfectly symmetrical face. She was about the same height as Sephora, but her boots were at least three to four inches tall, making her thin frame look even taller.
“How’ve you been Tyzon? I haven’t seen you in a while,” she said flirtatiously.
“Fine Zena, I’ve been busy,” he replied. “And you?”
“Oh me?” she pointed to herself, “I’m great!” She smiled with white teeth. “So who’s this?” she smirked.
“This is Sephora,” he introduced.
