*Tyzon*

Sticking to my word, I sent Taxin and Rale, the two friends, out the very next day. I wasn’t sure if I had made the right decision. My fears were confirmed when three days passed and the duo didn’t return; I had to assume the worst.

“How could I have sent those two alone?” I mumbled angrily, “I’m so stupid!” I ran my hands through my hair and contemplated what to do next. I had never thought that I would loose any member and to lose two on a simple casing mission seemed unbearable. What should I do now? I wondered. I didn’t want to risk loosing more lives. I needed to talk to someone, give voice to the thoughts in his head. Mathula... I thought.

Abruptly I bolted from the chair in my office and started to head out, but suddenly I stopped. Who would go with me? Or should I go alone? I wondered. Rexan had never actually seen Mathula even though he knew Mathula was still alive. I didn’t want him to know Mathula’s location and have it be a risk for him too. No one else even knew about Mathula… except for Aris and Sephora. When this realization crossed my mind, I knew who I would take with me.

I started to head down to the engineering bay to find Sephora, but I ended up meeting her coincidentally in the hallway.

“Oh hey, I was just about to come find you,” I said a bit surprised at running into her.

“Same here actually. I figured out how to copy my music for you,” Sephora said. She handed me an almost exact replica of her iPod, except for that it didn’t have a screen. I examined it, turning it over in my hands. “You just have to hook it into a speaker and push play. It should work.”

“Thank you. I will be sure to listen to it,” I said and gratefully accepted the gift.

“So what did you want?” Sephora asked.

“Oh, right. I need to go somewhere. Will you go with me?” My eyebrows raised slightly in expectation.

Sephora’s eyebrow rose. “Okay… I guess I can go, but wouldn’t you rather have me be working?”

“Tyria can take over for you for just a little bit.”

            “Okay. Are we leaving now?”

            “Yeah we’ll take a hover-car.”

I waved for her to follow and then led the way to the seventeenth floor.

*Zena*

What are those two doing? I wondered. I saw Tyzon and Sephora walk by together and they seemed to be headed somewhere. Moved by instinct, I trailed the two of them from a distance. I saw them enter the elevator and the indicator showed that they exited on the seventeenth floor. As soon as I could, I followed them up. Just as I entered the aircraft hangar, I saw them fly away in a hover-car.

Where are they going now? I thought. I quickly turned my head to both sides to see if anyone was around. When I didn’t see any one and didn’t hear any footsteps, I hijacked one of the hover-cars and took off after them.

I was surprised to see that Tyzon and Sephora were heading outside the city and off into the wasteland of rocks and jagged cliffs. I followed them at a fairly good distance and when I saw their hover-car duck into a cave, I counted to twenty before following them down.

I stepped out of the vehicle and was disgusted when I landed in a pool of liquid that had condensed on the earthen floor. After shaking off my boots, I carefully made my way into the cave, listening for footsteps or any sign of which direction the two had gone.
