Several R.O.N.A. members rushed forward to help Aris out, in addition to Blythe. Carefully, they carried Tyzon out and thankfully someone had brought a mode of transportation. Aris and Blythe took him away instantly and the rest of the group quickly followed. By the time Sarin, Tyria, Rexan, Talon, and I finally arrived back at headquarters and raced up to the medical bay, Aris and Blythe had already gotten Tyzon settled in a medical bed.

I glanced at his still unconscious face. The seriousness of what had happened hit me and instantly made me feel at fault. Maybe if I hadn’t made him upset he would have been fine… I thought regrettably.

“Does anyone know of any suspicious symptoms Tyzon has been having?”  Aris asked the group when she saw them there.

“Not that I know of…” Rexan answered. “Will he be okay?” He suddenly looked very tired and grieved. He was obviously concerned for his brother.

“If we can figure out what is wrong, then hopefully yes.”

Suddenly I felt a bit lightheaded. I stumbled to the chair at Tyzon’s bedside and tried to let my head steady itself. I felt my eyes trying to roll into my head. I blinked several times, trying to fight the unnatural instinct.

“Sephora are you okay?” Aris said worriedly. She raced to my side.

“I just… felt dizzy all of the sudden.” I blinked furiously again until finally the response went away.

“Don’t leave that chair. I don’t want you to pass out and fall.”

“Okay.” I didn’t argue. I sat in the chair and tuned out the conversation that followed. I tried to think back. What had happened in the last couple days that could have affected Tyzon? Maybe it was my own fault? Was it because I had refused to hear his opinion? It would have stressed him out after all. Suddenly, I knew what it was.

            “I can’t think of-”

“I know what it is!” I said suddenly, interrupting Talon in the process. “I hadn’t gotten a chance to tell you Aris, but when the robots attacked during our excursion, we tried charging at one of them because my gun was gone… I vaguely remember being tranquilized.”

“You two must have been infected!” Aris exclaimed. “Blythe, can you round up two vaccinations for them?”

“Sure,” she answered and rushed off.

“I thought it was odd that he would just collapse. This foreign bacterium is very strong… for some reason it seems to attack men more strongly.”

Blythe then returned with the shots and Aris immediately gave one to both Tyzon and I.

“He should be awake in several trichrons,” Aris said, turning to the rest of the crowd, “If you come back later, he should be responsive.”

“Okay,” Rexan answered, “I will be back soon.” The group then turned to leave and the room became silent. Blythe apologized but said she was also very tired and left in order to rest.

“So how come you didn’t tell me about this sooner?” Aris questioned me.

            “About what?”

“Come on! The whole being tranquilized thing.”

“Oh… well you’ve been pretty busy since we got back and it was more of because… well I was afraid to say what happened afterwards.”

            “What happened?”

“Well… like I said we were shot, but when we woke up, we were tied up in a shack. We didn’t know how to get out and so I suggested using a small bomb I created and… he used himself to shelter me Aris. It was so selfless… I just…”

“You do like him… don’t you?”

            “I can’t believe I’ve just noticed…” I said shyly.

Aris smiled knowingly. “Well things like that take time Sephora. We’ve only been here a little under three weeks.”

“He was about to tell me something… but I was too scared and found a way out of it… and now…”

“He will be fine Sephora. After a couple hours of rest he will be just fine. You too.”

            “Thanks Aris.”

“You’d better rest. Do you want a bed in here?”

“I’ll just stay here. I’m fine.” I didn’t want to leave his side anymore; I already felt guilty enough for what I had done at the club.

“Okay. Well I’m going to go in the back for now. See you in a bit.”

            “Kay.”

When I woke up, I felt completely exhausted. I looked around, remembering what had happened. I was still alone next to Tyzon’s bed. Aris must still be in the back… I wonder if she fell asleep, I thought.

Next to me, I suddenly heard mumbling sounds. I turned to look and realized that Tyzon’s eyes were fluttering open. When he seemed to gain his bearings, he suddenly became very alert and then he noticed me sitting at his bedside.

“How do you feel?” I asked.

“Good. What happened?” He said still slightly groggy.

“You collapsed at the bar. I forgot that we were both shot during the robot attack and apparently we were both affected. Aris gave each of us a vaccination.”

“That’s good,” he said with a nod. It was weird seeing him in a hospital bed; he always seemed so strong and at the moment he looked so weak. It made me sad.

“Yeah… I’m surprised at how fast you healed. On Earth you would be an amazing phenomenon,” I said almost to herself.

“Did you just say Earth?” Tyzon said, nearly jumping out of the bed.

“Crap…” I mumbled. “Yeah I did.” I decided there was no use in hiding it any longer.

“I wish I had known this a long time ago…”

“Sorry…” I said, feeling guilty for another thing I hadn’t had the courage to say, “Why though?”

“Because… well to be honest I’m not 100% sure, but it could be significant.”

            “What are you talking about?”

“What I’m trying to say is that I think it’s finally time for you and Aris to meet our real leader.”
