"Can I call you?" he asked me. I didn't know how to answer. I didn't want him to call me, and me freeze up, and stutter because it's super embarrassing. But I really wanna talk to him. "Sure" I reply hesitantly
Seconds after that, I get a call. I clear my throat before I answer it, "Hello?" I ask, knowing exactly who it was, "HEY" I heard him scream
"Whoa, man. Calm it down before you blow out my eardrum" I say while laughing and he laughs too. Oh God. His laugh was so adorable, "Sorry, I'm not trying to blow your eardrum out. I'm just excited, that's all" he replies
"I can tell, my dear" I say and then immediately regret that I just called him 'my dear' I couldn't help it. I call everyone that
"My dear?" he asked. Even though I couldn't see him, I knew he had his eyebrow raised
"Don't get too excited there. I call everyone that." I quickly reply back
"Aw, man. for a minute you made me feel special" he said laughing. Dear God I could never get tired of that laugh. I realize I got lost in my thoughts and never said anything back
"Are you there?" he asked innocently
"Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking" I half laugh
"Whatcha thinking about?" he asked me
How am I supposed to reply to that? 'Yeah dude I'm totally thinking about you' Cmon Abbi, get yourself together
"Just things" I reply hoping he doesn't ask anything more
"You were thinking about puppies weren't you?" he asked laughing while he asked it
"Oh my God, yes it's like you could read my mind. Who doesn't always think about puppies?" I say laughing
"Weird people" he replied and for some reason that made me laugh even harder. I could hear him chuckling
"You have a really cute laugh" he replied soft and quietly
"Honey, before you flirt maybe you should know what I look like. I mean, for all you know, I could be a 30 year old woman trying to hit on a 18 year old" I say
"Then let's FaceTime. You can show me what you look like" he quickly replied
Was I ready for that? I don't want him to think this is gonna be an episode of catfish, but what if I'm not ready for him to see me..
