"Oh Jane! You look gorgeous!" Hannah wailed excitedly. Her brown eyes shimmered behind her white, bejeweled mask. Her light crimson hair was wavy and neatly cared for. Her black silk dress complimented her figure, her white bejeweled mask looked elegant, and her red shoes, bracelets, and necklace shinned in the lighting.
"I feel like a shinny tomato." Jane grimaced and looked at herself in the mirror.
Her red dress hugged her upper torso as it looked puffy below her waist. Her ruby red, t-strap heels looked simple and easy. Jane's red mask had different size jewels edging the mask and seemed 3D, while her black curls were natural and half was held back with a ruby red clip on the back of her head.
"At least you're a pretty, shinny tomato." Hannah argued back. She nervously wiggled on Brianna's couch, waiting for either Kyle or Brianna to come into the room to save her and bring them both down to the party.
"Ugh, where are those two! I thought you guys would've been done with the party within the last three days. You guys even skipped school!" Jane turned around and looked over at her friend. Her neon green eyes glimmered with question and compression.
"Look Jane, you're turning twelve! The oldest out of the three of us, and we want to make this birthday party the best one yet!" She cheered and pumped her fist in the air. "Also, we've been wanting to figure out which party can be the best out of all of them we've hosted."
"Fine, but if Brianna or Kyle don't come up here in the next five minutes, I'm storming down there." Jane threatened. She turned back to the mirror to fix her mask.
"You try and go for that door, I'll tackle you to the floor."
"I'll run like my life depends on it. That or I'll run like I'm chasing food." She shrugged and smirked.
Hannah laughed and opened her mouth to say something but Kyle swung the door open. He was dressed in black suit with a black belt and shinny black shoes. His mask was plain white, as well as his tie. His brown hair was slicked back and delicately combed.
"You guys ready to party?" He sang. He leaned against the doorframe and smirked like he knew these girls' secrets.
"Yes! About time." Jane growled. She stomped over to the door, with Hannah and Kyle close on her heels, and they navigated their way through Brianna's gigantic house.
Hannah pulled her way up to Jane's side to see her expression while Kyle somehow managed to take the lead. While the three kids kept walking deeper in the devil's den, the darker it got. And no, Brianna's house wasn't hell, it just looked like it to Jane. And she heard loud music that matched her eager heartbeat.
She turned the last corner and stood on the top of the stairs with her friends standing on either side of her. She couldn't breath or move or think. She witnessed the whole school body population crowd in the room. In Brianna's house! Jane would've been animated about how perfect the decorations looked but the thousands of piercing eyes was on her. She looked like a deer in headlights.
"Oh kill me." She mumbled.
