Jane huddled close by the food tables, something that was comforting and reassuring to her. She felt bad for snapping at her friends and throwing them under the bus for everything they did for her. She kept her glass in her hands while the caffeinated bubbles entertained her, she popped a crab puff in her mouth and cracked a sad smile.

"Jane?" Michael said. He wore a black tux with a red tie and white mask. His black curls were tamed and combed back, his bright grayish green eyes glowed under his mask. He hovered over Jane, being tall and broad, he smiled and poured himself a cup of Sprite.

"Hey," Jane replied, she tried effortlessly to know who he was. She didn't know anyone, besides her three best friends, under masks and fancy outfits.

"You okay? You seem a little down." He pointed out. He piled food on top of a plate and made another one for Jane, making hers bigger.

"I'm good, besides the fact that I look like a tomato," she grimaced and glanced down at her gown. "But other than that, the party is great!"

Michael stole a side glance and narrowed his eyes at her. She avioded the question he asked her. He nodded his head towards a table and she followed, taking his drink so he wouldn't make a second trip.

"You know Jane, I asked about you not how the party was. You changed the subject. So really, are you okay?" He asked.

They sat down at a table near the stair case, white flowers standing before them on the table while their backs face the wall. Michael slid a plate piled with food over to her and she smiled, knowing how much she loves food.

"I'll be fine. I'm just not use to having the whole school over for parties. Normally it's just Brianna, Kyle, Hannah and I. I guess I'm not use to this." Jane confessed. She ate two crab puffs and one stuffed mushroom, taking a swig of her drink before eating chocolate covered strawberries and cake.

"Hmm, you just have to face any problem head on. Even if that means school, bullies, homework, tests and quizzes, and real life. Oh, and even if you have powers too! But I don't think you have powers though, just a thought." He responded nonchalantly. He ate some crab puffs and gourmet cheese on his plate, ignoring the rest.

Jane stiffened. She grew nervous of if he actually knew that she had powers, and maybe he has powers himself. She felt like she was being investigated. She stopped eating and finished off her drink, she swallowed her heart and stood up.

"You're right, I need to take this head on. But first, I need to use the restroom." Jane got up and sprinted up the stair case. Once she was at the top, she turned her neon green eyes to gaze down at Michael as he lifted his glass up to her and smiled.

Jane bolted down the hallway to find a bathroom. Her heels echoed in her ears while her dress flapped behind her, her black curls swinging and hitting her back while she ran. She stole a peek behind her to ensure that no one was following her before she turned around. Her eyes widened when a wall was an inch away from her nose. She flinched and held out her hands, but she felt nothing.

She opened her eyes and she was in a guest bedroom. She tried to figure out what was happening, how she got into another room and where she was. Then, like a train wrecked in her head, she knew what happened. Her powers got her in another room.

"Well, I've had weirder stuff happen." Jane said to herself.

She took a breather and walked through the same wall. It worked. She looked back down the hallway and she knew where she was. Jane was three doors down from Brianna's room. Jane jogged to her friend's room and opened the door, she slipped across the room to go to the bathroom.

She took off her mask and looked at herself in the mirror. Her curls twisted like a curly fries, her neon green eyes looked like green mints, her tan skin matched to crispy fried chicken, and her dress really did make her look like a tomato! Ha!

Oh, anyways, she tried to figure out who the guy was. With everyone wearing masks, it was hard to know who was who. More importantly, her mind kept slipping back to if that kid really knew if she had powers. Only her family knew about her powers, and she wanted to kept it that way. She even hid it from her friends.

"Calm down, Jane. Clam down." She mumbled, she slipped her fingers through her curls and grabbed her red mask on the way out of the bathroom.

"Who were you talking to?" Brianna asked while she sat on her bed. Her white dress, shoes, and jewelry contrasted her red mask. Brianna's straight strawberry blonde hair draped over her shoulders as her blue eyes watched Jane.

"Myself."

"Really?"

"Y-yeah?"

Brianna cocked an eyebrow at her, wondering if she was lying but she just shrugged her shoulders and headed for the door. Jane watched her, studying how beautiful her friend was.

"Brianna, wait!" Jane exclaimed, she held her hand out and wiggled around in her shoes.

"Yeah?"

"Do you have any girl stuff?"

Brianna scoffed, shacking her head lightly and walked into her bathroom. She dug in the cabinet below the sink before showing Jane. She smiled and walked out to wait in her room.

Jane took a pad and made her way to the toilet, she did her business and checked her current pad. There was little blood but her cramps were agonizingly painful yesterday. Her monthly cycle wasn't regular, she knew that, but the symtoms were a pain in the ass for her.

She finished up and walked back to the party with Brianna with a clear mind.
