She took one deep breath, closing her eyes to try and calm herself down. She pulled her frizzy blonde hair out of her eyes and into a ponytail. Her brain told her, more like yelled at her, to turn around and sprint to Emma's house for safety. However, her legs told her a different story; curious about who was on the other side of her cracked front door.

With every step she took, her knees wobbled and bucked while her hands shook like a leaf in the wind. She didn't know whether she wanted to cry or scream or even both. Her throat fell dry, her stomach shrank into a tiny paper ball, her blue eyes stayed alert and her bag on her back felt weightless.

'Please listen to us, ma'am! She needs to come with us.' A man growled at Liz's parents. The guy's voice was raspy and thick.

Liz climbed up the stairs, hand hovering over the door knob.

'You're not taking her. Like bloody hell you think that you can take my daughter away from me.' Beck yelled at the man. His voice sounded like sandpaper or like he tried talking after crying.

Liz tried to think over the floating fear gliding around her head. She pushed the door open and looked around her house. No one was in their tiny kitchen, it was clean and barren. Her blue eyes drifted to the living room that happily shared it's place with the dining room. Her parents stood up while a man and woman sat on their couch.

"Liz." Her mother called. Her deep blue eyes turned shinny and she bolted to her daughter to embrace her.

"What's happening? Are you sending me away?" Liz cried. She looked up her mother and scanned her features for answers.

"I would never send you away, honey." She called again.

"Gabriella, please. She needs to come with us. She has to control her powers responsibly and justly. If we can find out about your daughter's powers then it won't be long until someone else does too." The woman said. She was beautiful, voice soft and smooth, and tall. She had gorgeous chestnut brown hair and grayish blue eyes.

"Who are you? What do you want with me? I can't leave." Liz wailed. Her father drifted over to their side, wrapping his arms around his wife and daughter.

"I'm Joseph Walker from America. This is, well I can't say her original name, but you can call her Mother Nature or Mrs Martin." Joseph said. He waved his hand over at his associate. She stole a light glance at him like he almost gave her away.

Liz sucked in her breath and held it. Her mouth laid open for all to see as her eyes were fixated on her idol. Mother Nature wasn't wearing her full costume but she had her green mask on and a light green hoodie over her head. She couldn't believe that her hero was right in front of her but she didn't want to leave England. She weighted the pros and cons of the situation.

Pros: Mother Nature was right in front of her, asking for help. She finally gets to try and control her powers.

Cons: she has to leave her friends and family. She'll be alone.

She couldn't make up her mind. A part of her wanted to jump up and down screaming for joy while the other part was crying in the corner with a gray cloud over her head.

"She's not leaving! But you are." Beck snapped in his husky voice. His grip tighted on Liz's shoulders as he pulled her closer to him. His thick blonde hair stuck out in random places while he glared at the two people in front of them.

"I'll leave my card if you change your mind." Joseph said, making his way to the door after leaving his card on the coffee table. Mother Nature was right on his tail, smiling and winking at Liz before walking out the door.

Once the door closed, silence engulfed the Goodwins. They stayed in their little huddle for a while before Elizabeth pushed them away, gazing up at her parents.

"What did they want with me!?" Liz asked.

"They say that they can help you control your powers and be the future of Superheroes. To guide you in the right path to use your powers for good instead of evil." Beck said calmly. He squated down to her level, gazing deep into her eyes.

"Oh. Well," Liz drifted off. She turned her gaze to the floor board, scanning for answers to her twisted path.

"We can't let them have you. You're thirteen, honey. You're about to start high school soon, we just want the best for you." Gabriella explained. She glided over to her husbands side for comfort.

"I know. Thank you, I love you. I just need time to think." Liz hugged her parents, kissed them goodnight and went to bed.

She laid on her bed, staring at the ceiling like it was the most interesting thing she has ever seen. Well, not really, because of a permeant frown she had on. She sighed and rolled on her side. The first thing she saw was her phone sitting patiently on her desk top.

She jumped out of bed and quickly picked it up, aggressively tapping away on her screen until she found his number in the contacts lists. She hesitated for a spilt second before hitting the call button. She chewed on her nails, pacing back and forth in front of her bed. With the ringing in her ears and nervous butterflies exploding in her tummy, she stopped pacing and floated above her bed.

'Hello?' He said, picking up after the fifth ring.

"Can we talk?"
