You sighed as you saw the rain pouring very hard. You pushed your chair back, got your bag and exited the classroom.

"How am I supposed to go home now?" You said and let your hand out to feel the rain, "And I think everybody left already..."

An idea came into your mind. Using your bag as an umbrella seemed like a good idea.

You placed your bag on top of your head and got ready to run under the rain but stopped when you felt something rub against your leg.

"Mrowww~"

"Hm?" You looked down and saw a wet cat rub its head against your socks.

"Ah! Stop, you'll get my socks dirty," You knelt down and rubbed your hands behind its ear.

"I didn't know you had a cat, (L/N)." A familiar voice said.

You recognized the voice, "Oh, hey Chiba. Quick your hanky! Mind if I use it to dry the cat?"

He placed his hand in his pocket, "Sure, I don't mind." He brought out his handkerchief and gave it to you.

"Thank you." You got the hanky and dried the cat with it, "I'll return it tomorrow."

After the cat wasn't very wet anymore, you folded the hanky neatly and placed it in your bag.

"Mroww." The cat said.

You giggled and pat its head, "You're welcome."

"Hey!!!" Arms wrapped around you and Chiba's neck, "What's going on here, hmmmmm?"

The sudden voice scared the cat and it ran away.

"Okajima-kun!!" You said, "The cat ran away now, thanks to you."

"Cat?" Megu came with an umbrella in her hand.

You watched as the cat climbed a tree and knew that it regret doing that since it was now shaking.

"Poor thing.." You said.

You took off your blazer and gave your bag to Megu, "(L/N)?" Chiba asked.

"Hold on, I'll go get it." You said and took off.

Chiba had second thoughts about letting you do this. Sure, he admired your bravery and thoughtfulness for others. But you didn't think of yourself very often.

Megu and the rest stayed and watched you climb up the tree.

You were getting a bit far from the ground when Chiba rushed to you.

"(L/N), that's dangerous." Chiba called.

You were getting close to the cat, "A-Almost there."

You took another step but almost slipped and a small yelp escaped your lips.

"(L/N)!"

You finally were able to sit on the branch and grab the cat, "Got it! I'm going down now."

You slowly climbed down the tree but with a cat in one of your arms was hard.

Megu and Okajima ran over to you both with worried looks on their faces.

You placed your foot on a part where you thought was deep enough to hold your weight for a while. But slipped.

"(L/N)!!" Megu exclaimed.

You hugged the cat in your arms, closed your eyes and braced yourself for the impact but instead, landed on something firm.

You slowly opened your eyes and saw that you were on Chiba's arms with Megu sheltering you both from the rain with her umbrella.

"Are you okay?" Megu asked.

"IM SO SORRY." Okajima said.

Your face heated up and Chiba placed you down.

"Y-Yeah." You said as an reply to Okajima and Megu.

Megu placed her hand on her chest, "Thank God."

Okajima ran back to the entrance to get your things while Megu stayed and walked both of you with her umbrella.

"Seems that the cat's looking fine," Chiba said.

You nodded, "Y-Yeah... Thanks for saving me."

He turned his head, "I-It was nothing. Just did what was supposed to be done."

"JUST KISS ALREADY!" Okajima yelled.
