Chapter 15: Question Game
Scarlet's POV
I was in my classroom eating a bag of pretzels while correcting the quizes the students took. One thing I remember about being pregnant was the eating so much like a pig. hat's a thing a women hates later on after the delivering. As for a mother myself one thing I hated was gaining weight. The rest of the weird stuff that happens during pregnancy I can deal with but gaining weight that what upsets me.
Looking over the quizes I was startled when my phone rang. I jumped up and walked over o my purse and grabbed my phone looking at the I.D it read Valerie ( Connor's mom). I smiled and answered the phone.
Me: Hello
Valerie: O hello Scarlet dear, it's me Valerie
Me: Hello Valerie. How is the business?
Valerie: Great. Scarlet may I ask a favor of you?
Me: Sure. I am listening
Valerie: Well you see I been alone latly so has your mother since both of our husbands and we haven't seen our grandchildren......
Me: (laughs)...... Valerie I get it. You want to see your grandkids. I am all up to bring them down for the weekend.
Valerie: Really? O Scarlet your mother and I don't want to bother you and Connor.......
Me: Valerie you will never bother us. Plus Connor and I want to tell you something when we come down there.
Valerie: O great then you will come down this weekend?
Me: Yes we will. We can have those family dinner since we are draging Stefan with us.
Valerie : Your brother living with you too again?
Me: Yah he got a job and took it right away without finding a home so I let my brother stay with us. Plus he can tke care of the kids which is a bonus.
Valerie: (laughs): He needs to get his own set of kids and stop taking care of yours.
Me: I doubt that will happen right now. Well Valerie I go to go..
Valerie: Okay Scarlet. Thank you much. I'll see you this weekend
Me: See you till then. Bye
Valerie: Bye
I hung up and someone clears their throat and I looked up to see Carter standing over my desk and smirking at me. I smiled at him while he winks at me.
Hello Carter. I said
Hello Scarlet. Carter says sitting down in front of my desk
What brings you in my room like always? I asked taking a bite of ritz crackers
You know you like my presense here. Plus I want to see how much you eat. Carter says smirking
Jerk. i am pregnant don't dare make fun of how much a pregnant women eats or I will give you living hell. I said
Woah Scarlet I was just kidding. God don't take it personal. Carter says holding his hands in the air
Sorry one thing about being pregnant is the mood swings. Stefan is right about me being bipolar when I am pregnant. I said
Well I forgive you but how about you and I play a little game. Carter says raising an eyebrow
