Chapter 23: Come ON!
Carter's POV
Scarlet hasn't woek nup yet so I took the kids to my place so they can get their full rest. While they took their napp. I told Jared to go investiate why the house burned down. I know Scarlet she was to tired to even cook so somone must of started. He first hesitated but he left.
The kids woke up and Tristian and Isabella walked into my kitchen rubbing their eyes. I still hadn't gotten news from the hospital saying Scarlet woke up. They looked at me with sad smiles.
Is mommy alright? Tristian says
Yeah Trist she is alright. She is just sleeping. I said
O yeah mommy was tired so she has to be sleeping. Isabella says
Well I was thinking why not go shopping. You kids need pajams and clothes and other kids stuff. I just got a phone call from your daddy telling me he is going to be with Uncle Stefan for a little bit longer. Grandpa needs him. I said
So we will be staying with you? Isabella asked wide eye
Yeah. So let's go shopping to get you some new clothes. I said grabbing my keys
TWO HOURS LATER!!
I just bought the kids a week worth of clothes two pairs up pajams. Jared met us at the mall. Man, before Jared came all the girls in the mall were looking at me when I was carrying Isabella, and held Tristian's hand. Some saying "You have cute kids."
One lady came up to me and said "Your kids are angels. They look so much like you."
Even girls gave me their numbers which was weird. Man, you think that only happens in movies but I am dead wrong it works in real life. While we just finish from the food court. I recieved a phone call.
Hello. I said
Is this Carter Johnston? The lady asked
Yes I am. Why? I asked
Well I am glad to inform you that Scarlet has woken up and asked to see you. So we will appreciate you come down here and quick. The lady says
O Thank you. We will be over there in minutes. Thanks goodbye. I said then hung up
Who was that? Isabella asked
Mommy is awake. Come on she wants to see you kids. I said
They smiled as we got up and walked to the car together. While I buckled them up we drive off the hospital.
As we arrived to the hospital we walked into the waiting room. Where the nurse sees me and says "Follow me" I smiled and I put down Tristian. While walking to Scarlet's room I said to the kids "Kids, we are going to see mommy don't stress mommy out she just woke up. Be nice and behave for mommy."
