Chaptee 37: Bonus Chapter Connor's Last Hours
Connor's POV
I walked out the room with a tear running down my cheek. I had to let go of her and this was my only way to. She wasn't mine anymore. I had my time with her. She gave me two ...now three lovely kids which made us a family. Scarlet loved me. That's all a man can ask for. Kids, a family, and love and Scarlet gave that all to me. Now Carter will get the life with my wife.
As I walked down to the nursey I find my son. My newborn son asleep. The nurse let me in and I held my son for the last time. He wasn't going to be mine he will be raised by Carter....I know he can handle kids because he handled my other two perfectly...
I kissed my new born son on his temple and said "I love you son. Don't forget your real father and give your new father a hard time for me." As my son fell deep asleep into my arms. I smiled. Carefully I put my son back in the basket and left the nursery...
Walking out I was regretting my mission, but I pushed myself even more. I was already in deep and I can't back down now. I needed to say my last goodbyes to two of my favorite people in the world. A smile appeared in my face......
I walked over to the waiting room to see my parents and my kids. My own kids ran toward me and hugged me. I take both of their hands and walked them outside to talk them alone. I can't have my parents listening to me. They weren't going to stop me.
"Hey kiddos. We are going to the park." I said
Their faces lit up like every year in Christmas when I get them what I want... On the car ride there my hands were shaking. While we got there I held their hands. I took them far from the park to the empty field...
"Daddy is mommy okay?" Tristan says
"Grandma says she is sleeping?" Isbella says
"Mommy is sleeping. I am going to go away for a long time kids. Very long, but when I leave mommy will wake up. I know it." I said
"Where are you going? How long daddy?" Tristan says
"Can I come?" Isabella says
"I am going somewhere...I won't be coming back. No you can't come this place is only for daddy." I said to them gently
"Forever?" They said quietly
"You can't leave daddy. Who is going to read us stories, take us to school, play with us." Isabella says begging
"I got to go sweetie. Carter is going to take over. I know how much you love Carter." I said
"Daddy we love you more. You can't leave. Please..... You and mommy are suppose to be with each other." Tristan says
"Kids, I don't want to leave you, but I have too. Carter is going to take care of you and mommy. Carter won't replace me. I would always be your daddy. I don't want you both to forget me. I actually want you to show your new brother pictures of all four us when he gets older." I said
Tears were going down their faces as they nodded and I hugged them. They were crying and it broke my heart. I didn't want to leave my kids. They were my world, but I had to. I just hoped Carter would take care of my kids like he promised. They were my world and the thought of them suffering would kill me even more.
"I love you both so much." I said tears going down my face
"I love you daddy." Tristan says
