Hey everyone, okay so this is my first story and it's unedited. I apologize for the mistakes in advance. I hope you like it :)

Chapter One

My toes scrunched in the beads of sand as I readjusted myself, my legs crossing over one another.

I looked out towards the water, the ocean blue waves crashing up onto the rocks. The pointy edges of them stood out to me as they sat stair like along the rocks. Some chipped from the force of the waves and others weren't fair from it.

The sun was rising, just at the peak of dawn. The beach was empty as was expected, most people didn't travel places at such an hour. Well most people didn't come to this beach at all actually; the humans thought it was too dangerous, that the forces of the waves were unnatural and to risky.

My hand fisted on its own accord, grabbing a handful of the snow white grains into my hand. I squeezed, watching the grains slither through my fingers.

"Anaita." A voice from behind spoke.

"Cas," I spoke without turning, "Why so formal? I've told you a thousand times, its Anna."

I turned around to face him then, looking up at him. He hadn't changed much, but then again angel's never really change that much.

His golden brown eyes stared into mine, as I looked at him. His skin was golden, just as I remembered and his dark almost black hair stood the same also, curls framed around his face not a piece out of place. He was beautiful by any standards the same as all angels though, including myself. I guess it came with the job description.

"Anna," He corrected himself placing his body on the sand beside me carefully. "H-how are you?" He stumbled over his words, looking at me questioningly and cautiously as if I was a ticking time bomb that could go of at any minute.

"You mean how am I dealing with the fact that I have to give up my life for heaven knows how long, to go babysit some half human half wolf freaks? Good, I'm doing just fine."

"That's sarcasm you're using, right?" Cas asked, seeming unsure.

I sighed, running my hands over my face tiredly, "Yes Cas, that was sarcasm."

Cas nodded, "And for the record I believe they call themselves werewolves."

I groaned falling back in the sand my hands coming up and covering my face. "Why?" I groaned, my voice muffled slightly, "Why me?" I moaned out again.

"Your just being dramatic Anna," Cas said his voice exasperated, as if he was talking to a small child, "It won't be that bad, I mean it could be worse. And besides werewolves could be fascinating to interact with, to see how different they are from the humans."

"Great," I mumbled mostly to myself, "Not only do I have to babysit them but I get to study them too. Sounds like fun." I deadpanned.

"See I told you it could be fun!" Cas told me, smiling at me as if he just solved all my problems. I stared at him, my face showing I was not amused.

Slowly, Cas's smile started to disappear, "That was sarcasm too, wasn't it?"

I grumbled to myself, heaving my body up and grabbing my boots from the ground.I hopped along the sand as I attempted to put my shoes on while walking.

"Wait," Cas called, "Where are you going?" He jogged trying to catch up with me.

"To go study some werewolves." I yelled over my shoulder, finally getting the second pair on my foot.

"That's not funny."

I sigh, stopping my fast pace and turned to face him "Look I'm tired Cas, I just want to check into a hotel for the night. I have to leave tomorrow morning to go into the wolves territory and play peace keeper or whatever. I don't know if I'm there for six months or a year and I just want one night on my own. The calm before the storm, you know."
